Only US dollar...any other currency will be problematic. Also take some small denominations because vendors often don't have change. Major credit cards are also accepted.

US dollars. Zimbabwe does not have it's own currency so they use the US dollar. However they do take South African Rand in most places.

We used credit cards for larger purchases and USD for the rest. They like dollars because cash is scarce. When we tried to use an ATM in a bank, they had very little cash.

In Zimbabwee they use USD. Bring USD for shopping around Victoria falls. Credit cards accepted in the hotel. Small change better.

Definitely US$ best. Some places might accept SA rand but USD is their trading currency.

Wherever you go you can pay with USD. I noticed too that people were using South African currency and perhaps other currency is accepted too.

Be sure to take small denomination USD with you for tipping etc. I have also used ZA rand and Botswana pula for tipping. You may get change in local Zimbabwe "dollars" but these are useless outside the country.

US $ and be sure to take cash with you. It is very hard to get cash in Zimbabwe. Alcoholic beverages are about what it costs in the US (wine is higher for some reason). Beer is about $4 for Castle Lager.

US $. They will use ZA rands as well but the official currency in Zimbabwe is US$. Zambia has its own currency, Kwacha but they will also accept the other currencies as above in the markets.
