Bally's reviews made hotel sound very old and dirty.. is this true? Is it connected to Caesars??
All the negative stuff you've heard about this hotel is true. Its not being kept up even though its connected with ceasers. They're letting it slip away, they've cut the staff to bare bones and are literally stealing money from loyal patrons. I just had the worst experience ever two weeks ago,and will probably never go back.
It depends on which rooms you are in. They sold the Claridge Tower. Most of the rooms are in need of a facelift but the fact is, it's connected to Caesars, has a decent casino of it's own, is right on the boardwalk and in the center of things. Generally the prices are lower than Caesars and other casino hotels and you usually won't be in your room much. However if you can get a room at Caesars or a nicer hotel for not much more then take advantage of it.
When I stayed on the 20th floor of the tower, the laundry backed up, overflowed through the toilet and created a 1" deep puddle of sudsy wastewater on my bathroom floor. Thankfully it wasn't "brown" water but it certainly wasn't clean. Does that answer your question?
It is on the lower end of the spectrum. They have let the rooms and common areas slip for many years now.
It is an older hotel, but I can only comment on the room that I had, which was clean, and very nice. The room was large with a king size bed, large window with a view of the ocean. The bathroom was large with a large window, also with an ocean view. There was a walkway to Caesars through the Wild West casino.
Yes most of what you've read is correct. Every time i stay here there room as been clean enough and tidy but the hotel itself is run down and out of date. If you want to stay in the middle of everything and don't plan on being in your room a lot or using the facilities then it's an OK hotel to stay but if you're looking for a luxury stay for the money Caesars is better.Other than borgata its the best hotel in ac. If you like to gamble and have the money I'd choose bortaga over anything else. But if you want boardwalk location and have the money the Caesars is the better way to go.
had no problems with room in the Denis tower, clean, and comfortable, small room, and bathroom, but hell, it's a place to sleep, and shower.found the casino tight, better luck at the now closed Showboat.Caesers is connected, and a great location.would do it again.
Both times I stayed at Bally's I requested the Bally's Tower. The room was ocean view and very nice.My room was clean, bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but I noticed a lot of dust in grooves of a wood design piece underneath the window, below the window the last time I stayed. I would say rooms are in definite need of a face lift. Some issues with elevators - slow and sometimes bypass floors. Bally's recently did a major overhaul in the casino floor and it is quite nice. If you prefer to have something more of an upscale look, then Caesar's is your better bet. Although I must say Bally's location is excellent because you step out right on the boardwalk, steps to the ocean, and a block away to outlet shopping. When I stayed in July, there was a room service cart in the hallway near my room for 2 days before it was taken away. That didn't impress me much. As with anything, there's good and bad.
It's def an older lookig casino compared the other ones. It's connected to Cesar's but it doesn't compare to it in any way shape or form.
I didnt think so. My room was clean and seemed like it was just redone. I highly recommend the place.
Our room wasn't remodeled. I was in the tower and our bathroom was dirty. Yes it was connected to Caesar's which was nice.
I agree with previous answer. My room seemed like it was remodeled. I like the connection to Cesars. My experience was good. If you book, request a remodeled room. Good luck.
Don't stay at Bally's AC you surely will be very disappointed. I had dirty laundry and hairy towels when I checked in. It's old and dirty. The front desk staff are rude and unprofessional. I stay at Caesar's once or twice a month and it's always Perfect!
I had a horrible time at the casino the service was awful and the people were extremely rude do not go here!
Bally's was a nice place before. There Declined started around 2005. I have experienced the rise and fall of Atlantic City. Started going there in 1990. Start of the boom. It's a shame to see what happened to it. Truly I don't think it'll ever be what it was. And that's a shame
The hotel is in need of some updating. No, they are not connected. However they are both total rewards properties.
I would not consider it old and dirty, no. I'd say it was satisfactory. Obviously I only saw my own room so not sure what others look like. Saw some hotels that were nicer and some that were worse. There is a walkway to Caesars through the Wild West portion of Bally's. That was definitely convenient.
Filthy, and smoke ridden, best way to describe Bally's.
Bare bones staff, 1 hour wait to check-in or check-out.
Mold, black mold, in the shower and closet.
Stay somewhere else, preferably Caesars, for a little more money.
