We will be in Rio on Feb.26, 2017, and would like to experience the Carnival....see parades, dancing, costumes, etc.in a safe setting. We are two seniors, moderate stamina and mobility and eager to observe the activities. Are there individual drivers/guides or small tour groups available?
Hi as you will be in Rio for the 3rd day of carnival it will be busy but not manic
the public transport is good but it might pay to arrange a tour
If you are booking it yourself I suggest a ticket in a box as the standing required in the general areas is tuff
The carnival starts late around 9pm and goes through to around 4am
Section 6 is where the judges sit so the performance is best in front of that section so pay the extra to get into section 6 or the sections on either side but not opposite
Search under Rio Carnival so you can check options for tickets and tours
trip advisor will not allow me to send the actual link
