Can anyone tell me what the typical cost is for an entree and/or drinks (in US dollars) at this hotel's restaraunts and bars? I know breakfast is included with a reservation, but I am wondering if the food and alcohol prices will be expensive?
From louisiana, I don't remember exactly, but fine dining was pricey and not good. Breakfast and lunch comparable for a fancy hotel. The village was an experience and modest. Loved trying the local cuisine. But include transportation.
Thank you all for the replies. These prices seem on par with the quality and ratings of the resort, so that is good to know. We're going in early October and yes, I think the inclusion of breakfast was part of a promotion. Thanks again, cheers!
We only ate dinner at the more casual restaurant which is where the breakfast buffet is served. We stayed 5 nights in July 2014 and found the prices to be comparable to California, which is where we live. So, dinners ranged from $15 - $25 per person. We rarely had appetizers. We had wine at night and that was about $10 - $15 per glass. There was a kid's menu but I can't remember the prices. Drinks from the pool bar ranged from $8 - $10. We were always away during the day for lunch. The breakfast buffet was included with our rate.
We were a party of six, four adults and two children, and every dinner was around $200 (sometimes the kids had appetizers as a meal). There is a third restaurant, a sushi bar, but we never ate there. I thought the food prices were fairly reasonable considering you are a captive audience. I don't really drink much alcohol, but others in our group did and some of the beer prices were more reasonable than others, so pay attention to that. We did order two virgin pina coladas for the kids one day at the swim up bar and they were $9 each, which I thought was outrageous for a virgin drink.
I would confirm that breakfast is included, it was NOT when we were there for five nights in July 2014, and the buffet was $20 each. Perhaps they are currently running a promotion?
There are 2 restaurants for dinner. One is more casual than the other and those prices range from $15-30. The fine dining restaurant has prices from about $22 and up. Alcoholic beverages start around $4.50 for beer. Lunch was available from the pool bar or at the casual restaurant. Prices were reasonable.
