How long does the shuttle take (on average) to get to Epcot and Downtown Disney? Also, are there other restaurants, stores, etc nearby?
The shuttle we offer for a fee through our Concierge Desk is from the hotel to Epcot and the schedule varies, it generally takes about 15 minutes from the hotel to reach Epcot. It is also about a 15-minute drive from the hotel to Downtown Disney.
The hotel is nearby to many restaurants, a grocery store (Publix), a pharmacy (Walgreen's), as well as a Super Target and Wal-Mart Supercenter.
The feedback you've received from other guests that have reviewed our hotel is very accurate! This feature is brand new through TripAdvisor, so we are learning it as well! :-)
We look forward to seeing you soon, and hope those reviewers that provided feedback will return soon as well!

Hi, I never saw anyone using a shuttle from the hotel, unless you really have no option to drive then I think that your vacation would be very time consuming getting around and anyone going to Orlando should have a car no hesitation.
There are buses that run along the 192 and I think I do remember seeing a stop close maybe a 5 minute walk to get to but again waiting for them in the heat would take away a lot of the enjoyment, taxis would be another option but im sure prove to be very expensive.
I think you should ring the hotel and ask for more in depth info on getting around they should have some links for you on the net so you can plan your routes. Getting to Epcot and Disney areas are around 15 minutes a very easy journey in a car.
The hotel is in a great position for Publics in our experience of travelling to Orlando the best Supermarket for food and quality there are a few eating places Smokin Bones(lovely)Burger King, pizza and curry(I think) on the small complex.
Wal Mart,Walgreens is down the road on a larger complex however a little walk I would say around 20 mins or 5 mins by car, or if you are really organised with your shopping list then get a taxi, you go into Wal Mart for a couple of things and come out with bags full of stuff.
We have been to Orlando maybe 14 times since our children were small now we have Grand children so have plenty of experience, hope this has helped you feel free to get in touch again if we can answer any thing else you maybe have questions on.
Have a great vacation I don't know anyone who hates Orlando /Disney.
We didn't use the shuttle either. A car was much more convenient. There is a Smokey Bones within walking distance- (across the street) we ate there. A Burger King and pizza place in the same complex as the grocery store
We did not use the shuttle service so I do not know. Any restaurant you could want is less than 1 to 3 minutes away. The entrance to Downtown Disney is about 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic and how fast you drive :o)
I did not take the shuttle but I can say by car it took about 15 minutes to epcot and downtown disney. The hotel is around the corner from Irlo Bronson highway where there are a lot of family restaurants. There are also a lot restaurants directly across the street and within a 5 minute drive. 90% of them are chain restaurants/family restaurants. Up the road from the hotel is a Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens and a Publix. There are also a few gift shops and lots of fast food.
