Hi. The Marriott you are looking at is in downtown Louisville. Bakers Lane is in an outer area from Downtown. I would look at the facilities on Phillips Lane. It is closer. It is a better area on Phillips Lane. It is right across from the fairground. But a very short distance is not a good area. However, in spite of the reports of the downtown Marriott being in a good area. I would not call it so. It is in downtown. Crime is high.

Hotel is close to expressway. Can get to most places in Louisville in 20-30 minutes. $15.00 fee is if you park your car in hotel garage. No car, no fee.

I don't know where Bakers Lane is but I consider the SpringHill Suites area safe to the West. There is a Hampton Inn across the street and a Fairfield Inn adjacent. We walked to 4th Street and to the Main street area with no concerns. We paid $15 per day for covered on site parking.

I don't know where Bakers Lane is, but the area is safe. I don't remember if there was a fee for parking or not. I'm sure you could find that information out online or by calling.
