Hi Travel458,

I am happy to see some of our past guests have answered your question but if you have specific needs or dietary restrictions please give us a call or send us an email and I will be happy to answer them. We often deal with vegetarian, vegan, lactose free, gluten free, and low sugar requests.

Our typical base camp menu before any special dietary requirements or adjusted for any fresh local produce / seafood that may be available is:

Breakfasts:

Egg and veggies scramble

Pancakes and locally raised pork sausage

Granola, yogurt, and fruit salad

Lunches;

Quinoa salad, hummus, babaganoush, pita bread

Build you own sandwiches with lots of veggies, cheese, and salmon salad

Chicken cashew wraps

Lunch on the grizzly tour day is build your own sandwiches with veggies, cheeses and cold cuts.

All lunches have a sweet treat as well

Dinners:

Barbecued salmon with salad and baby potatoes

Chicken (locally raised) and vegetable stir fry

Vegetarian coconut curry

each diner has an appetizer as well

Desserts:

Cheese cake wit fruit

Apple and rhubarb crisp

Chocolate fondue or chia seed coconut pudding with fruit

We also have an assortment of fair trade organic teas, coffee, and hot chocolate plus fruit juice at breakfast.

I hope this helps but as mentioned above, give us a call or send us an email for more details if needed..

Sorry. We did 6 day camping trip. So not sure if food is the same at camp. But our food was great. Guides did a great job feeding the crew.

We didn't know the menu in advance, but I would guess they would work with you on it. Also, the food was excellent and plentiful. Highly recommend Kingfisher.

Hi there, we did the same trip in August last year and it was fantastic. The food was really great. For breakfasts there was cereal and fruit and cooked things like pancakes. Lunch was usually somewhere on an island while kayaking so was salads and wraps and fruit etc. And dinner was great - salads and a curry and salmon one night. And fantastic desserts. Dinner was often had up on "The Point" - a superb lookout, watching whales, which made the meal even better. Loads of coffee and snacks. I'm a vegetarian and it was perfect. The staff really do everything they can and do a fantastic job and so I'm sure you'll love the food. Have a great trip!

Hello,

I took the Gwaii Hannas trip in Haida Gwaii, so there was no base camp because we were on the move. There was not a set menu but I can tell you that the food was very good and nourishing. I suggest you contact Kingfisher directly to ask your question. They are very friendly and generally extremely prompt in replying to any query. I hope this helps.
