First two trains in the morning start from New Romney and go to Hythe. New Romney has the better car-park. Didn't go to Dungeness so can't comment on that. Have Fun!

best to get there early for the first train. you can park in hythe by the canal for free rather than paying. when I went I went from hythe to dungeness. had a drink and dungeness. Then back to hythe. swapped back to new Romney. looked at the museum. then back to hythe. that makes a good day of it.

We got on at Hythe where there is lots of free parking, the first train leaves at 10'30. We got off at New Romney for coffee & to look at the model railway then went to Dungeness where we had lunch. On the way back we stopped at Dymchurch and visited the beach than went back to Hythe.

I go to New Romney as it has a nice big car park and easier to get to whatever destination you require.

The best destination is Dungeness, so for the full experience start at Hythe

New Romney has the larger car park. It also has a museum and very good cafe. If you are tahing young children it also has a play area. Ask for a rover ticket which will enable you to travel to Hyeth and Dungerness.

The line runs from Hythe to Dungeness for the full journey, however New Romney has a model railway exhibition which is free entry on your rover ticket. Hythe, New Romney and Dungeness all have cafes so you could break your journey to see the model railway and have a morning coffee stop, then onto Dungeness for lunch and afternoon tea back at Hythe. Either Dungeness or Hythe to get the full run.
