The Lodge at Jackson Hole Questions & Answers

Greenbrier, Tennessee

We are planning on a Sept. 15 - 19. Do you offer fly fishing instruction or would you be able to book such excretion with equipment and guide. I also would like to horse back one day and also visit Yellowstone park.

Horseback riding - the hotel set up appointment with Mill Iron Ranch for us.

BE AWARE there is a 250 lb weigh restriction - a couple next to us had to be turned away. As for Fly fishing or Yellowstone tours - the hotel does have parties they recommend in a book at front desk - FYI, for very little money the GaperGuide that can be used with your car does a nice job of giving you a Yellowstone tour monolog - the guide covers both Yellowstone and Tetons

We didn't do any horseback adventures, but did go to Yellowstone one day. Was a good day trip. Went to Grand Teton Natl Park every day... so relaxing and lovely. Be sure and catch any ranger talks that you can, they are very informative.

For horse back riding I would recommend Mill Iron Ranch. We had an excellent experience there and the young man at the front desk at the lodge recommended it. Make sure to order to steak dinner after the ride it was amazing biggest piece of steak I have ever seen. The view from the top of the mountain is amazing.

We did not go fly fishing, but drove to Yellowstone virtuallty every day. The get to the entrance of the park it probably takes about 40 minutes you pass through We did manage to cover the whole park in our stay but it is a great deal of driving (well worth it)
