Hi, We are considering a trip in August. Would love to visit the rain forest. I'm just curios if anyone has had a problem with snakes in your room? I know there is no a/c and I am concerned.
Good Afternoon - We do not have a problem with snakes in the rooms, but I should be clear that there are snakes in the area around the lodge.
Also, as you mention, we do not have A/C but we do find it gets cool enough at night that most people do not find it uncomfortable. It can be quite warm during the day in the summer. Our spring-fed pool and beautiful river can be a good cure for the heat as well. Hope that is helpful.
Although we knew there were snakes in the area we didn't see any and the way our cabin was constructed with mesh at the windows meant we were cool enough at night- you'll enjoy a visit.
No snakes in our room but we were advised to be on the lookout for them in general. There are ceiling fans in the rooms and if you leave the windows and curtains open you'll get a nice breeze at night! Enjoy your trip!!
