Bondi to Coogee Walk Questions & Answers

Lavallette, New Jersey

Cbeark, I am going to take your suggestion and do the walk from Coogee to Bondi. How do you get to Coogee from Sydney? I will be in Sydney in February.

Thanks, Sheila

The easiest and quickest method is to use a taxi or Uber, but the cheapest option would be to travel by the public bus service.

A key resource for Sydney public transport is the Transport NSW Info web site and its Plan Your Trip tool. Bus timetables will vary depending on whether you travel on a weekday or weekend/holiday period. You can confirm timetables, trip times and costs with this tool. For example bus route #373 takes 43 minutes for the journey to Coogee Beach from Circular Quay in downtown Sydney. Buses to and from Coogee are frequent.

You should obtain an Opal card if you plan to use any Sydney Public transport including buses, trains, trams and ferries. An Opal card is a stored value card that has replaced paper ticketing. Google "opal for visitors" for the details including where to purchase one and how to use it.

I'll add one more alternative, take the train to Bondi Junction, then catch the 314 Bus to Coogee. As previous person mentioned, get an Opal card. Use Google maps and hit the transit setting and you'll have all the info quickly.
