Bondi to Coogee Walk Questions & Answers

Is the walk doable with a pram/stroller? Is it very hot to walk with a baby now? Just wondering, if it's the right weather. Thanks!!

Hi, there were unfortunately stairs on parts of the walk, which makes it difficult to do the walk with a stroller. The temperature was almost a bit too warm for my family, but remember we are not used to that kind of heat, when it’s currently 5 degrees Celsius in Norway right now. But there were plenty of water stations on the walk which made it much easier. I hope this was to any help and sorry for the late reply.

I wouldn’t recommend it. There are stairs in places and lots of hills etc. There’s more information if you google the walk, but I’m unable to place link here. Enjoy!

I wouldn't recommend this walk with a stroller because of the many stairs and you are continually going up and down. You would be lifting the stroller with the baby for a lot of the walk. As suggested by another traveller, I would suggest walking along Manly Beach which is also beautiful and a lot of it is flat. As far as the heat, this time of the year in Sydney is the hottest and I would not suggest doing this with a baby or a small child in the middle of the day.

We had 4 adults and an 8 month old baby in a stroller, between us it was ok carrying the stroller up and down the steps but it wasn’t great and if the baby had weighed more than 20lbs it might have been more of a challenge!

Not great in the heat.....the next day we went to Manly where the sea walk was easier, no steps !

Some parts have a lot of

Steps so might be quite difficult with a pram. And we did it when it was hot, lots of beaches to stop off on the way and cool off. Just take lots of water, although there are water stations available along the way.

There are areas with steps that may make it difficult, especially from bronte to coogee

Too hot for baby

You could walk from Bondi to Tamarama with pram

Catch a bus to bronte and see that area

You could bus it to clovelly and there is a children’s playground and safe swimming

Part of the walk would be ok with a stroller . There are stairs though and it would have to be carried . There is usually a nice breeze so it’s not that hot.

There is stairs on parts of the walk, so doing it with a stroller would be hard. When we walked the weather was really nice and the temperature was between 25 and 30 degrees. We found that pretty warm, but there were plenty of water stations along the walk which helped a lot. The weather is only going to get warmer, so for my family it would almost be too hot.
