Bondi to Coogee Walk Questions & Answers

Singapore, Singapore

Hello! I'm visiting in early May, with a 14 month old and husband for the first time.

We have a travel stroller which is 6.5kg, wondering if it's wise to bring it along with us or to just use a baby carrier instead.

I'm a bit worried about the stairs, are they very steep? If we do find it very challenging to complete the route, can we exit anywhere and take a bus back to Hyde Park area?

Also, what time of the day would be good for a visit?

Are there any other coastal walks that are easier but still offer great views?

Thanks so much in advance for answering my question!

There are stairs but I'm sure your hubby can carry the stroller ??

Well worth the effort. It's a holiday right ? So no rush.

There are buses at every beach. Most take you back to bondi beach or bondi junction. Bondi junction train goes to town hall near Hyde park.

Also try the gap down at Watson's bay which has beaches and parks great for little ones and try Doyle's for lunch. and up the hill from Watson's bay back towards Vaucluse and Dover heights you'll find inspiring views; Toward the harbour and out to the ocean. Military Rd Dover heights there's a park with great views called Dudley page reserve.

We had 4 children and strollers, though that was some time ago. I think stroller would be very challenging with the steps throughout the walk and at times it is narrow with walkers going both directions. I would suggest a child backpack that allows you to go up & down the stairs. It was warm when we were there and it will be cooler during your visit but be advised, this is a hike or at least a vigorous walk. It is NOT strenuous and very worth it. The scenery is great. cheers

Take the stroller :) some areas are flat and you will want to use, especially to take picture and soak in the views near cliff areas. Bus’s at each beach to take you back to Bondi Junction. I see many young children with family on this walk. Enjoy
