Arriving in Portland

Portland, Oregon's largest city is served by Portland International Airport, which is located 15 kilometres northeast of downtown Portland. Tourists on Portland flights can reach downtown Portland by taxi. The MAX light rail red line, stops right outside of the airport terminal. This railway service takes visitors to downtown in around 40 minutes. Car rental is available at Portland Airport from such agencies as Hertz and Budget. Getting Around Portland

There are a total of four MAX Light Rail lines: the Blue Line from east Hillsboro to Gresham; the Red Line from the airport to Beaverton; the Yellow Line from the south of the Expo Centre to Portland State University; and the Green Line from the north of Clackmas Town Centre to Portland State University. All lines run through the downtown district. The Portland Streetcar line runs through downtown every 13-20 minutes.
