    http://www.centralparknyc.org/virtualpark/southend/strawberryfields

Start off at Strawberry Fields on 72nd Street and CPK West. Take in the serenity from the shade of the American Elms and follow the path to the mosaic tribute for John Lennon. One solitary word "Imagine" adorns the pathway.

  • 2. Sony IMAX Theater. Deep Sea 3D -- $12.00
    http://www.attractionsmall.com/NewYork/movies/sonylincolnsquareandimax...

After walking around Strawberry Fields for a few, head towards the Upper West Side to 68th and Broadway for the magic of IMAX. "Sea" life in a whole new way. Deep Sea 3D, a new underwater adventure, transports audiences deep below the ocean surface. Through the magic of IMAX 3D, moviegoers will swim with some of the planet's most unique, dangerous and colorful creatures, and understand this inspiring underworld. Narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, with an original score by Danny Elfman. Runs approximately 45 minutes.

  • 3. It's a Wrap. Lunch -- $7.95
    http://itsawrap.com/

Grab a healthy lunch after you watch your IMAX. Head to "It's a Wrap" one block away from the theater. Plenty of wraps to choose from as well as excellent fruit smoothies. Add $4.75 to the price above if you do want a smoothie with your wrap. 68th and Broadway.

  • 4. Grab an unlimited MetroCard! -- $7.00
    http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/metrocard/mcgtreng.htm#unlimited

After chowing down, walk uptown about a block and pick up an unlimited MetroCard for 7 bucks at the Newspaper stand on the corner. Continue up to 72nd Street and jump on the B train. Take that downtown to Broadway-Lafayette Street Station and hop on the 6 train to the Brooklyn Bridge stop.

  • 5. Brooklyn Bridge -- Free
    Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn, New York

Carve out a couple of hours and take a stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. You can choose to continue your walk to the Brooklyn Promenade for great views of lower Manhattan or walk back into NYC. My personal recommendation? You can't give up the opportunity to walk the promenade and see fantastic views of the bridge and NYC skyline. You can always hop back on a train on the Brooklyn Side anyway.

  • 6. Borough Hall - Court Street Station. Brooklyn Heights
    http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/service/fourline.htm

Hop on the 4 line with your unlimited MetroCard and head back into Manhattan. Stay on the 4 line until 86th Street. From there, walk across town to 3rd Ave for the next attraction.

  • 7. Sassy's Sliders or Gray's Papaya -- About $10.00

So all that treking around got you hungry? Pick up a six pack of small "White Castle" sized turkey burgers with a thick vanilla oreo cookie shake. Perfectly cooked and hits the spot. Not into the small burger scene? Right on the corner is Gray's Papaya. Grab three hot dogs with everything on it and a large Papaya shake.

  • 8. Metropolitan Museum of Art -- $15.00. You've sucessfully spent the $50.00 for the day!
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, New York

Take a walk from 86th and 3rd over to 82nd and 5th. You can burn off that Oreo Shake with the 20 min walk. Spend your last $15.00 for the suggested donation of this wonderful museum. You can finally get yourself more culture than a container of yogurt.
