If you have more than 3 days in Seattle or have been to the Big City before, staying in the "burbs" could be a great alternative. Not only, you get a bit more greenery and quiet; there are charming little towns and great food/wine to be had within less than 30 minutes drive of Seattle.

The hotel's atmosphere is casual chic and the staff are friendly and professional. The hotel's grounds are pretty and well landscaped. There are gazebos and fire pits for guests use as well. Kirkland, Washington

About 20 minutes drive NE of Seattle (just across the water from Seattle and Seattle U) and near Bellevue, Kirkland is a cute waterfront community. The charming downtown offers small shops, nice restaurant choices and a couple of parks with views over the water and Seattle's skyline. There is also a long and nice promenade by the water for walking or biking.
