The best of the City in the Fog
My favorite hotel in the city in my favorite neighborhood.
My favorite neighborhood in the city. Enjoy the Peace Plaza, shop in the Japantown Mall and go from sushi joint to sushi joint.
The $9.95 all you can eat dinner buffet is a great bargain.
Enjoy the many shoppes and cafes between Geary St and Clay. Be sure to end at Alta Plaza Park.
Be warned, this tower is build to sway in the event of seismic activity. However, it also sways in the wind! If you are afraid of heights (like me) and easily get vertigo, you may not want to go to the top of the tower. You get a good enough view of the city from the rest of Pioneer Park.
Be sure to walk down the Filmore St steps after.
I bet you're wondering why I left out Pier 39. Because it's a tourist trap. If you must, dedicate a half hour than do yourselves a favor, leave.
Great fun to take a tour. Just be warned that the ferry ride is on rough waters.
Okay, so, why am I paying homage to a fast food chain? Because the burgers are
f---ing awesome! It's a guilty pleasure.
Walk the trails and treat yourself to stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay.... When it's not foggy. Good luck with that.
Be sure to check out the Sutro Baths.
This is the best Burmese restaurant I ever been to in my whole life.
The Japanese Tea Gardens and an absolute MUST. The botanic gardens and the walk around Stowe Lake are just as nice.
The aquarium is suprisingly well done.
Be sure to take a break from climbing all those hills in Huntington Park just outside this beautiful cathedral.
My favorite museum in the city.
Though fine during the day, once night falls this area gets a little shady.
Another one of my favorite restaurants. This little Cambodian place is a must.
