Visiting Boston with a special girl or guy? Like going on dates? Don't feel like suiting up and paying $100 for your meal? Good, because I have just the list for you. Seven Great date spots that don't require you to dress up and break the bank!

  • Explore locations featured in this Trip List: Boston
  • Category: Other
  • Appeals to: Couples/romantics, Honeymooners, Students
  • Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
  • 1. Fajitas & 'Ritas
    Fajitas & 'Ritas, Boston, Massachusetts

Simple, honest Tex-Mex in a fun atmosphere. Good prices, good portion sizes.

  • 2. Fire and Ice
    Fire and Ice, Boston, Massachusetts

It might be a chain, but it's not a huge chain, and it's always a fun time.

  • 3. Barking Crab
    Barking Crab, Boston, Massachusetts

Great seafood in a great location.

  • 4. The Kinsale
    The Kinsale, Boston, Massachusetts

One of Boston's many Irish pubs. The food is wonderful, and the restaurant is huge, with a quiet-ish dining area separate from the bar. After your meal is done, you can have drinks at the well-stocked and well-staffed bar.

  • 5. Pizzeria Regina
    Pizzeria Regina, Boston, Massachusetts

I told you this list wouldn't be too fancy. If you're looking for a taste of the best pizza in Boston, look no further than this North End staple. Maybe you're thinking just pizza's not enough for a date. Fear not, though, I have more suggestions to complete your evening. Couple it with a walk along the waterfront, or a drink at one of the North End's many bars, or dessert at Mike's Pastry...or perhaps all three!

  • 6. Ginza
    Ginza, Boston, Massachusetts

Some say (and I agree) that this is the best sushi in Boston. This particular place has the potential to be expensive, seeing that it is after all a Sushi restaurant, but they have a pretty extensive a-la-carte menu, so your meal doesn't have to necessarily be expensive.

  • 7. Max and Dylans
    Max and Dylans, Boston, Massachusetts

This is perhaps a bit more upscale than the other places I've mentioned, but it's not exactly formal either. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is definitely the most romantic of any restaurant on this list.
