  • 2. Hot Damn Tamales
Hot Damn Tamales, Fort Worth, Texas

Cozy little place with good Mexican tamales. Creative variety of tamales that you can't get anywhere else. Locally owned and operated. Located on Magnolia Avenue, which has several other interesting locally owned dining places.

  • 3. Amon Carter Museum
Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort Worth, Texas

Classy, free museum. Now showing "100 Great American Photographs" through August 20, 2006. A beautiful surrounding (with Air Conditioning) for a hot, Texas afternoon!

  • 4. EuroTazza Coffeehouse

European style coffeehouse. Amazing drinks, very yummy snacks and desserts. Friendly, comfortable, free wireless.

  • 5. Sundance Square
    Sundance Square, Fort Worth, Texas

Pedestrian friendly area in downtown Fort Worth. Very clean, lots of restaurants, art museums, movie theaters. Make sure to walk by Bass Performance Hall--it's a dramatic sight! Street parking and "Sundance" garage parking is free after 6pm and on weekends.

  • 6. Skywalk at Renaissance Worthington Hotel

On the second floor of the hotel, have a seat in the lounge located over the skywalk. Enjoy a good view of downtown, especially at night! Watch the cars, people, and carriage rides go by underneath you. If you go later in the evening, usually the attendants are off duty and you can stay without the pressure to purchase anything.
