Newcastle Upon Tyne, a 2 hour highlight walking tour

This list is based on what I saw during my 2 hour stay in Newcastle Upon Tyne. You might think, 2 hours? Yes, unfortunately 2 hours.
We went to Newcastle by boat. Got on a DFDS Seaways cruise ship in Ijmuiden, Holland and sailed to the port of Newcastle. Due to bad weather we had to leave 2 hours earlier then usually. Which meant we only had 2 hours left to check out this city.

About DFDS Seaways: We had a very bad experience with this organisation due to the bad weather conditions. The whole ship was sick, so they handed out free tablets for seasickness. It is cheap to go by boat to Newcastle or from Newcastle to Amsterdam. But on board the meals and activities are very expensive. I would recommend taking an airplane. Lower coasts and it is quicker! I believe airplanes are more reliable.

The people in Newcastle are very kind. We came out of the bus, opened our city map and immediately a kind women asked where we wanted to go to. Without asking a thing. If you need directions just ask, people are happy to help and give good directions.
Is your map a bit vague (like ours was), follow the signs with sights which stand all over the city. Very easy and you get everywhere!

The walking trip started and ended at the Central station. The attractions are in the same order as we seen them. These are also the highlights of the city. We didn't enter most of the sights, because there wasn't enough time.
If needed I placed tips, do's or don'ts with the attraction. Would you like to know more about what I think about these attractions, check out my reviews or send me a message.
