  • 1. Leavenworth
    Leavenworth, Washington

Leavenworth, the little Bavarian village in the mountains, is a perfect stop on your way to Seattle from the East. Visit the wonderful little shops and restaurants. Make sure to stop at the fruit stands and vineyards on your way. Then take the beautiful scenic route into Seattle via Everett.

  • 2. Holiday Inn Downtown Everett

This hotel has undergone a major renovation. Just a couple minutes (literally) on I-5 and you are at this great hotel. From the outside it looks a little iffy, but once you step inside all doubt goes away. The lobby is spectacular and everyone is very friendly. The on site restaurant is wonderful. Utilize the underground parking garage, it is convenient to the elevators. The rooms are average sized but very clean with all new amenities. The beds are wonderful and price is very good. This hotel is convenient to the Prime Outlets and about 20-30 minutes from downtown Seattle.

  • 3. Seattle Premium Outlets

Fabulous designer stores with great prices. Definately a fun place to shop! The Coach Outlet is wonderful! Thought you could never find last season's bag ever again? The Coach store probably has it, they also have bags that are specifically designed for the factory outlet. There are so many great designer outlets - it makes shopping so much fun! The Premium Outlets are about 30-40 minutes drive from Seattle off I-5. All of the shops are outside so prepare for cold, hot, rainy weather!

  • 4. Pike Place Market
    Pike Place Market, Seattle, Washington

    You
just have to go there! The Market has everything from artwork, flowers,
jewelry, lavender, fish, fresh produce, sausages, hot nuts, more art,
more flowers, and more fish! Aand great restaurants, including the
Athenian which was in Sleepless in Seattle. I love Pike Place Market!!
Plan on spending 2-3 hours perusing. Parking for the market is
expensive, but convenient if you park in the market parking garage. It
has an elevator that takes you right to the sky bridge into the market. Oh yeah, don't forget to stop by the fishmarket by the pig, if you're lucky, you might get a fish thrown over your head!

  • 5. Red Lobster Restaurant
    Red Lobster, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Every trip to Seattle requires a stop at Red Lobster on the way home. This Red Lobster always pleases. Wait times can be crazy long, but if you get there before 5 PM for dinner you should be able to get seated rather quickly. If you do you have to wait, it is always entertaining to watch the lobsters try to escape from the tank.
