3.5 of 5 stars based on 4 votes

If you have just one day in Budapest, Hungary, here are some places you may want to see. A great way to do this is by the hop-on hop-off bus tour offered by City Circle Sight Seeing (EUrama travel agency). The busses leave top of evry hour from 10am to 5pm just outside Intercontinental Hotel near Chain Bridge on the Pest side of Budapest.

  • 1. Parliament Building Budapest
    http://www.budapest-tourist-guide.com/budapest-parliament.html#getting

The Parliament Building in Budapest, Hungary is said to be the third largest parliamanet building in the world. It is an ornate, imposing building that sits on the banks of the Danube on the Pest side of Budapest. It is within walking distance from the Chain Bridge. You can get great view of the building from the Buda side. They offer tours inside the parliament but when I visited in Oct 2006 there were ongoing protests against the prime minister and so the tours inside the parliament were suspended. If you don't mind a little walking, from the parliament building you can walk to St. Stephen's Basilica. It is a beautiful building.
