margaux_tripadv's City Tips

  • If you fancy going around the city by bicycle, no need to rent them privately; you can use the city's public cycle scheme, Vélo'v, whose bike stations are located all over town.
  • If you fancy stopping for a drink while visiting the center, bear in mind that prices in Place des Terreaux and Place Bellecour are a lot higher than in some other areas.
  • Bus and metro systems are efficient and easy to use; tickets can be bought in any tobacco shop (bureau de tabac), at self service machines in metro stations, or on buses themselves.
  • The Lyon City Card grants holders access to 22 museums, as well as discounts on attractions, public transportation, and more. If you are thinking of visiting some of the places included, it may be worth your while investing in one.
