Points of Interest

1. Service road

Pay attention to the trail as it hits the service road on the CAP for a bit. Don't miss where the trail picks up again or you could be walking for a while in the wrong direction!

2. Basalt trail west

Turn here if you want to cut through the middle and take about 1.4 miles off the circumference. Also, pay attention to which trail you want so you don't accidentally head to the other side of Deems.

3. Basalt trail east

Turn here to cut through the middle and take about 1.4 miles off the circumference.

4. Water tower road

If you want you can take this road up for a bit and connect with the Palisade trail and follow the ridge south.
