We visited Wingsong at the end of Aug into September. We originally booked a studio but upon checking in were placed in a 1 bedroom, equipped with a full kitchen and even a washer/dryer. The 1 bedroom was beautiful, brand new, and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with everything you may need- a blender, toaster, champagne bucket,..you name it. The room was perfect for us and we loved that it was such a close walk to the pool/beach. This isn't a large resort but we loved that. The property itself is beautiful and clean. Everything smells good, super clean throughout. There is a pool, cafe, and beach area with plenty of amenities. Of course, the beach was our favorite. Larry was there all the time to give us towels and offered us whatever watersports we wanted, but we decided to snorkel. You can walk right out into the reef from the beach and snorkel! This is truly the coolest part of the beach other than the 3 yellow loungers that you can lay on, that are located just a short walk out into the water. If you wish you can also kayak, paddle board, etc...the resort has it all. Other than that, we loved how intimate and quiet it was, partly due to the time of year and partly due to Covid. This is not a resort in the middle of grace bay (although a short 10ish min taxi drive)-- it is more quiet and if this is what you're looking for-- Windsong is PERFECT. For dinner we ate out in Grace Bay and decided to take a taxi there, but you could rent a car as well. Make sure to visit Da Conch Shack, Seven, Grace's Cottage, and Mango Reef while you are here. Some restaurants were closed at the time we visited, but those were open and quite exceptional. The service here is unrivaled. Whenever we needed something, whether more coffee at breakfast or a taxi, someone was able to help out immediately and with such kind intent. We want to thank Derron, the concierge for helping us out with dinner reservations, taxi requests, and more. We also want to thank Larry at the beach, and all the staff working at the breakfast restaurant. We can't wait to return to Windsong!…
My wife and I visited the Windsong on August 6-16, 2020. This was our 7th trip to TCI and our 7th time to stay at the Windsong. Walking into the lobby was just as fun as it always is even though there were masks and elbow bumps given instead of our usual smiles and hugs! The welcome rum punch is always the best part when arriving! The Windsong accommodated our request for the specific ocean front suite that we try to get each trip. They even had a bottle of champagne chilled waiting for us in our room. We also had the hotel pick up a few things at the grocery store prior to our arrival so we wouldn’t have to take time away from our first day. As far as the safety precautions go, masks were required everywhere except once you were on the beach and once you were seated at your table if you were dining there. They also had plenty of hand sanitizer available along with providing disposable masks if you needed them. The service was great as always! The butlers, Khalil and Derron, did an awesome job booking all of the restaurants we wanted to go to for dinner. They checked in every time they saw us to make sure we were having a good time! We ate at JoJo’s the first night we were there and had a blast being served by two of our favorite employees Samuel and Dandreko. It was like coming home to hang out with our best friends! My wife and I also met the property manager that night. He arranged for us to have dinner on the beach a couple days later. The food (particularly the lobster) they served us that night topped the other restaurants we visited. This was certainly the highlight of our trip. In the mornings, we enjoyed breakfast down at the dunes with RJ as our server. He’s hilarious. The oatmeal, eggs, bacon, fruit, and bread are delicious. A good start to the day! During the day, we spent most of our time on the beach either relaxing in the loungers or in the floating discs with a rum punch in hand. Our buddies Omar and Gustavo took great care of us, as always. They are very friendly and were quick to bring us our drinks. This trip we snorkeled more than our prior trips. Because there were so few people, we felt like we were able to enjoy it even more without feeling crowded. We were impressed with the amount and variety of fish we saw this time. We also saw a small turtle. Visibility was great! As always, the time went by too fast and we were sad to leave. Our friends, or should I say, our “TCI family” at the Windsong go the extra mile to make sure our stay is perfect. We cannot wait to be back.…
Incredible staff and beautiful property. Cannot recommend high enough. From minute we checked in every person on staff made sure every detail was taken care of. Celebrated my wife's birthday on trip and all day they wished her happy birthday with Champagne and treats. Will recommend to everyone and definitely be back soon.
It took me weeks to decide where to stay while planning my vacation. I heard and read tons of reviews online. But decided ultimately on Windsong. I was so so so happy and have nothing but great things to say. We rented a beachfront 1 bed suite- I can honestly say dont rent if you dont have a view. There is just not much to do and that made our vacation extra special. The staff was amazing. Realizing we had COVID to deal with and many hoops to jump through- the only thing I wish I would have known was how much was actually not open to enjoy. We made the best of an amazing setting, view and people but most restaurants are very empty, closed or abbreviated. If you choose to go you will have a WONDERFUL and RELAXING time. But if you are in the market for a wild party- wait until after COVID is behind us. This country of gorgeous spirited people gave me pause as to how hard they have to work and how many months they have really been shut down One clue that we did find on Thursday was Sandbox on main street- singer was amazing and the people that were there said it was their first night out since March. Sexy honeymoon? yes...party central no. Enjoy Enjoy relax and enjoy ( i was there with my friend who was a widow and looking for a man- no luck ha!)…
