Ideally situated on a quiet street beside the river with an open aspect to the river and the countryside beyond. 10 minutes stroll to be in the heart of the village. The main bedroom upstairs enjoys wonderful views. Easy, free, parking. The house was beautifully presented for us on arrival. The kitchen/dining area, which also has a corner sofa, was stunning with welcome baskets for ourselves and our dog. The modern decor here and throughout was very much to my wife's taste. Well equipped, modern kitchen with quality appliances. The lounge was comfortable and again very well decorated/presented. Tv/wifi etc were very good and the tv allows you to log on to Netflix. The heating system worked very efficiently providing more than adequate central heating and hot water. There is a wood burner in the lounge. Lovely modern bathrooms with drench showers were also much appreciated - each of the two bedrooms in ensuite. The beds are comfy and big/very big. One possible issue for those contemplating renting might be that the stairs to the upper floors are steep. We are both >70 and managed fine but those with mobility issues might struggle. There is a small courtyard at the rear which can be a little afternoon sun trap while the small front garden area has a wooden bench which is ideal to catch morning sun. Warkworth is lovely with pleasant river walks, a fine castle and the beach is easily accessible (free car park). Coquet Cottages office is in Warkworth and the staff are excellent.

Property's Favourite Review
What can I say absolutely fabulous! Our second visit to this wonderful cottage and definitely not our last. It has absolutely everything you need for a perfect holiday. Nothing is to much trouble for the owners Sarah and Jules should you need them. We have a selection of cottages round the county that we use but this one is by far the best. We last visited in August when the weather was warm and sunny. This time it’s January but still as stunning. Warm, cosy and a beautiful view to sit and look at from the lounge or bedroom. We’ll be back again soon.

Perfect accommodation, in a quiet location, with stylish decor and attention to detail. Downstairs is comfortable and spacious, especially when the bi-fold doors are open. The enclosed gardens to the back and front of the cottage are an ideal place to enjoy the views and the sunshine. The Cottage is a great base from which to explore the beautiful Northumbrian coast. Coquet Cottages were extremely professional and helpful from the minute we booked until the day we left. We will be back!

We loved Hedgehog House! It is beautifully decorated and furnished and great care and attention to detail has obviously been taken by the owners. The kitchen is light and airy and very spacious and the sun pours in from the sunlight roof. Unfortunately it wasn’t warm enough to take advantage of the patio but I bet it’s lovely on a warm summer’s evening. The house was well equipped and our miniature dachshund loved it too; lots of doggy treats (he found 2 balls under the shower tray!). The location is perfect. We wanted somewhere within easy reach of a beach and Hedgehog House is an easy walk to Embleton Beach. It suited us perfectly and I can highly recommend. We will be back!

We booked the Saltwater Cottage in North Sunderland which is infact a 10 minute walk to the centre of Seahouses. Saltwater has a lovely kitchen and diner, sitting area to watch over the sun trap of a garden and field beyond as well as a lovely lounge and log burner, great bathroom and bedrooms big enough for a couple or family of 4 and of course a furry friend if needed. Parking on the drive and if needed on the street. Saltwater has everything you need for a great place to be based for Seahouse and the surrounding areas of the Northumberland Coast - lovely welcome basket as well is an added bonus; we would definitely book again.

Fantastically appointed cottage with large enclosed garden with plenty of outdoor seating. In the middle of Warkworth with great local eateries and beach/river walks from the doorstep. Spotlessly clean and great welcome hamper was much appreciated.

We had a lovely stay in Farne View. The holiday home was well equipped with everything we needed, with lots of added extras. The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge was great and had amazing views. We enjoyed watching the hares and stoat from the balcony, which looked over at the open fields and it also allowed us to soak up the rays. Having so many dog friendly places to visit was ideal. Coquet Cottages have been amazing and having the app really helped with planning and acted as great escape from reality when browsing the app during the months leading up to the holiday.

Thank you so much for your lovely review of your stay at Farne View in Bamburgh. The views are indeed amazing from there - both of the sea and Farne Islands and inland to the Cheviot Hills. I'm so pleased you made great use of the Guidebook app too, this is just what we hope all our guests will do - use it for everyone staying to plan ahead as well as use it whilst on holiday when exploring places to see, dine out, etc. Even after the holiday is over, many of the exclusive discounts and offers can still be used for shopping from home. Thank you again, I do hope you can return to Farne View again in the future - or try one of our other luxury properties of course! Kind regards Julie Julie Ringland Managing Director Coquet Cottages Ltd

We rented the amazing three Cottages at Roses Bower for a family get-together. There were 15 of us ,including children from 3yrs old to 13 years old. The facilities were excellent inside AND outside. The accommodation inside each cottage was spacious and each cottage had excellent bathrooms and bedroom layouts for a large group. The children and dogs loved the outside space and the adults had many happy chats in the hot tub. We also hired a bouncey castle for the children. We have decided to make this an annual event.Paul, our host lived on the premises and was very helpful if we had any problems.

My family and I have just returned from a fantastic week's stay at Waleric House in Alnmouth. The modern accommodation was very comfortable, clean, warm, incredibly well-equipped and spacious with an open plan lounge, kitchen, diner. All 3 double bedrooms were a good size with beautifully appointed and roomy bathrooms and the view of the Aln estuary from the master bedroom's balcony is a lovely sight to wake up to. We were delighted by a very classy and generous "Welcome" basket full of almost exclusively local 'goodies'. Alnmouth itself was lovely base to explore the beautiful sights of Northumberland and I have to recommend the small deli/cafe called Scotts, located very close to the house. The best pub in Alnmouth was the Red Lion which we frequented several times during our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Brada house , Bamburgh, the house was immaculate & very tastefully decorated. The owners have thought of everything you might need to enjoy your stay. A welcome hamper full of goodies was enjoyed by all, & even our sons dog was catered for with bowls, towel & treats. The house has a private back garden & plenty of private parking at the front. The beds were so comfortable & the complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms were divine.
