A fabulous cottage, beautifully furnished with a large woodburner, well equipped kitchen comfortable bedroom and amazing bathroom. The rooms were spacious for a cottage , yet it was wonderfully warm and cosy. very helpful owner, and the welcome hamper was a welcomed surprise.

Hello Carrie Thank you for such a fantastic review of Earl's Cottage! I am so glad that you had an amazing stay and enjoyed it just as much as we do. We quite often find that people prefer to be coastal when booking their holidays, but as you say, Alnwick is literally a stones throw from the coast, but with the added advantage of being so close to local amenities! The owners Dave & Norma have put so much love and thought into Earls Cottage, from the White Company toiletries to the welcome pack for you, so for them to know this has not gone unnoticed is great. We cannot wait to welcome you back to Earls Cottage very soon :) Best Wishes, Coquet Cottages

Hi, I would absolutely recommend if u have 2dogs, the lack of garden is no problem as just over the roof top of the garage is a huge marina and 10acre common which is amazing for dog walkers and u can let them off leash too! The games room is adjacent to the cottage where u park your car but it’s only a car width away, no problem at all, and there is a barbecue in there for u to use, also seating areas and another freezer in there. There is enough room to park 3 cars near the garage off road as there is no parking outside the cottage, but as the garage is at the gable end of the cottage it is no problem as it’s only a car width away. I really would highly recommend this cottage to u the owners have really thought about everything for their guess, we had some amazing walks with our dog. Amble itself is a lovely place too and the cottage is literally just off the high street-it’s our first time in a cottage and not in a park and we loved it! We thought the same about the fact it had no garden but you actually don’t need one as everything is so handy for you and your dogs! Hope this helps and have a lovely holiday, we will definitely be returning to this beautiful cottage, Bev x

Hi, the road the cottage is on is the main road through the village of Warkworth. It's not a tremendously busy road as it's just the road through the village but you will be able to hear some traffic noise from rooms at the front of the house facing onto the road, but it will be very quiet in rooms at the back. The path outside is very wide, much wider than a normal pavement.

The Reception/Clubhouse on Felmoor Park, where Arthur's Cabin is situated has a cosy bar, but the nearest pubs are a few miles away (few minutes in the car or taxi) at Alnwick (good range), Felton (the Northumberland Arms - great food) and Newton on the Moor (The Cook and Barker - great food).

Hi Sarah. There is a pool at Amble Links Caravan Park which is open to the public. If you want something a bit more elaborate there is a waterworld type complex at Tynemouth which is about a twenty minute drive away
