A grade 2 listed, former coaching inn located on the main street of the attractive village of Warkworth. The decor, furnishing and style of this hotel suits our taste perfectly, being relaxed and inviting. The service offered by all the staff we met was as always, excellent. Being friendly, and helpful, though professional. This was our fifth visit to Warkworth House, being made over a number of years, and out stays are always a pleasure.

Had drinks in the bar before our room was ready, Daniel looked after us during our whole stay and we feel he is a real asset to the hotel, nothing is any trouble, in fact all staff at this hotel are good all friendly and attentive , bedroom 5 was immaculate , big room very nice decor and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was cooked to perfection scrabbled egg and salmon was very good ! We have stayed a couple of times in our way back from Scotland and have never been disappointed ! Thank you Daniel and all staff we think your great !

We booked a double room which was classed as a superior and had a dog with us. The room we were taken to was bland, carpet was marked and the ensuite was really dated and unclean. There were bits of a mop on the floor. The traffic noise was terrible and we had asked for a room that was quiet for our dog. We asked if they had another room and we were given a key to look at a room on the first floor (Extra £10 charge). It was a much better room and looked newly decorated. The en-suite was clean and fresh. The bed was super comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was poor, my scrambled egg was tasteless and seemed to be pretty eggless and the bacon was very salty. The dog got the egg! We were not allowed baked beans even thought we had put it in our pre- order. They were only on the vegetarian menu! The man serving us was however very pleasant. We will not return as we felt it was overpriced at £129. This was with a £10 knocked off as you usually get charged for a dog. We had asked when booking if they would waver the cost of the dog, when we settled the bill they had added it on but removed it. All in all a bit disappointed.

The Good: Pub and restaurant staff were wonderful. Food was tasty. The Bad: Rooms had way too much furniture in them...no room to put your suitcases. No heat, it was freezing, toilets did not flush, shower was cold. Blonde lady at front desk was rude and very "cold" herself. Love this town, will return for a visit but stay elsewhere.

We checked in on NYE, the evening of our wedding day and were greeted by the lovely staff who proceeded to give us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which we found to be a lovely personal touch to congratulate us on getting married. We stayed in the Bay Room which was beautiful. Lovely, clean and spacious room with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, biscuits etc. We had a good night sleep in the large comfortable bed and used the lovely products during our morning shower, large shower, no bath. Breakfast was included and we chose this the night before, there was a large selection and although the service was a little slow the quality of the food made up for it. A delicious Eggs Benedict, which I asked or veggie and a nice full english (veggie). My only feedback would be that the pot of coffee we had was very strong. On checking out the staff were vey friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.
