We turned up here on a busy Sunday afternoon requiring a table for 5, not a problem. Menu choices and food were amazing. The staff busy and only 3 of them served us with excellent friendly service, nothing too much trouble. Plus a bonus of a fish menu on a Sunday too, cannot praise this pub enough for a wonderful...

We spent 4 nights at The George with colleagues for a meeting. The bedrooms were of a great standard, quality beds, nice decor, smart en-suites, and were spotlessly clean. The bar and restaurant seem to be recently renovated and very stylish, the mix of antique and contemporary was spot on. We loved the ambience, the atmosphere at The George was...

We stayed 4 nights and loved it. Henfield is a short drive to Brighton. The staff are friendly, food brilliant and atmosphere was what you would expect from a traditional English pub. Highly recommended.

Booked online with Expedia, and subsequently received an email from them stating that the booking had been cancelled by the hotel. Called the hotel and they denied any knowledge of the cancellation. He confirmed that he had the required single and double room available on the date required and quoted £155. When we checked in he informed me that breakfast...

Stayed here for one night, found it on the hotels.com website at the last minute. Decided to call them to do a direct deal. Price was more expensive @ £85 than the online rate. Odd considering the commission they must pay to Hotels.com. Arrived and was told off for calling AND booking online. Apparently they had reserved two rooms because...

We were given a warm welcome and the receptionist just could'nt do enough for us during our stay and was always so friendly and helpful along with the other staff on duty. Our room was clean and comfortable and always had plenty of hot water. The cooked...

Often visit during the week for drinks and chat and to watch the amazing plates of food go by. The Owners (Jackie and Steve) and their ultra helpful, kind and attentive staff make this a lovely place to be. I haven't stayed in The Hotel but people who have tell me it's extremely pleasant and clean. So unlike the, small...

We came to the George Hotel in Henfield as 2 joint families on Monday lunchtime. 3 adults and 4 children. Our first and last visit. A rip off for the children's menu. The staff who greeted us we're welcoming and friendly. My friend was very uncomfortable as there was no means of closing the one toilet door on offer and...

From booking to check the staff were lovely. We arrived on the Saturday afternoon, checked in and shown to our room. Although on the small side, completely immaculate, comfortable and everything we needed for our stay. We ate a snack in the afternoon in the bar, the menu was varied and reasonably priced and served to us by a lovely...
