We stayed at the Gran Melia Golf Resort for only one short night before flying back to the states. I don't remember how much we paid but it was around $200 a night. The hotel ground is amazing. With spacious reception area, many restaurants, convenient store, pools, beach, tennis courts, etc. The setting of the hotel rooms are spread out....

Super clean lovely resort and would stay again. Food and drinks a bit way overpriced for what you get. Much better and cheaper drinks down the street at Kokos. They need to be more mindful of family friendly activities. Sports equipment terrible and courts and activity places run down, broken or just terrible. Already have to try and steer clear...

Stayed at Melia RioGrande in Puerto Rico during a family crisses. The resort is nice and I would recommed although we didn't use most of the facility. Didn't care for having to pay for parking, most hotels have complimentary parking for individuals staying at hotel. This hotel is nice but far from everything and you need a vehicle in order...

This place was absolutely immaculate! More beautiful than I ever imagined. The suite was very nice and spacious. Ocean front. Marble floors throughout the entire place. Lovely assortment of plant life every where I turned. The lobby was open to nature, so we got to enjoy it to the fullest. Iguanas free to roam. Birds flying above us. Water with...

nice resort but our room had mold that was noticeable, needed a humidifier that staff supplied. Electricity would not work in room but that was quickly fixed within 1 h of arriving. We needed the accessible room so we stayed and made the best of it. Staff were helpful and friendly

Beautiful hotel, lovely beach and great staff in the reception and maintenance (around the hotel and cleaning). The service at the restaurants (all of them) is bad. The staff there are slow, not very friendly and lack the ability to give attention to their customers. The waiters often walked away and left us waiting for a long period of time...

Great experience awesome resort. Amazing pools....service was awesome. Would recommend hands down. The food in the hotel was wonderful. You have many places to choose from as far as dinner or restaurants are concerned. They were all delectable.

If your looking for a place to lay back and relax, check this place out. The grounds are clean and beautiful It's quiet and comfortable. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was very slow. We needed toilet paper, no one showed, had to go to the front desk to get some. It took them awhile to...

The facility itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential. You can tell that a lot of money was put into it. However, there is a lot that is lacking. The room was not very clean. There was no hot water. The rooms are very noisy, you can actually see the light through the crack in the door and...

PLEASE HELP LOTS OF QUESTIONS!!!!!

I was able to purchase this hotel as a Groupon deal for my best friend's 40th birthday. We aren't traveling until June 18th and this will be both of our first times in PR. The photos took my breath away and the cost was reasonable enough for me to surprise her with the gift after having some pretty rough times lately. I am really hoping this much needed getaway gives us a chance to escape the blues.

I know about the deposit per night, but usually deposits are returned unless you use them. However it seems like people are stating that they are getting charged for ludicrous items. (Towels cost what?) Or complaining about the treatment and true condition of the property. Then some are saying its a dream come true.

We don't expect million dollar service, just a good, peaceful beautiful time. Without me feeling the need to hide a credit card statement from my husband. We are extremely excited to be taking a trip together (having our own families and work makes that hard). Some person even said they were charged an upgrade fee of $3k?!! That is what scared me enough for someone who has been here to hopefully set my mind at ease.

What is included in Red Level? Is it a better option than paying a la carte? We are blessed to have breakfast included in the Groupon (thanks!) but it seems the Red Level doesn't do much more than that?

We've been hoping to come to Puerto Rico for years. Any advice would be truly appreciated. This place is very very pretty. I truly hope its the paradise it appears to be in the photos! The pool alone is amazing!!

Also more about the beach? Do swim shoes help with the rocks or don't bother. How about excursions (budget friendly).

Thanks to everyone who replies in advance. I will be responding after our return.

Happy Travels!
