Really top class stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They are very dog friendly which our pup loved. The room was immaculate and had everything you need. Food from the restaurant was sensational for both breakfast and evening meals. Highly recommended!

Fabulous stay at this stunning hotel. Lovely to see dogs welcomed as much as their humans. The staff are all really friendly and always happy to help. The room was perfect for the two of us with views over the mountains, bed was comfortable, a large bath was a bonus but the bathrooms are small I am a midsize woman and I felt the space between the sink and toilet was tight. The food was great at dinner, breakfast was good. The lounge area was lovely to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening and chill in the afternoon with a coffee. All in all a perfect spot to call your base for a holiday in the lakes with some Lovely walks on the doorstep and the mountain walks not far away. One point to note which wasn’t a problem for us but can see that in busier times it might be there is not much in the way of parking especially if you have a long car.

We stayed at here this weekend, we travel to the lakes quite often and this is our first time staying here. We’ll definitely be back! We came with our dog and it is truly dog friendly. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond. We had a blow out while we were here and the staff tried their best to help us, one member of staff even offered us their spare tyre but it was too small. Ravenstone manor are so lucky to have such amazing staff and it doesn’t go un noticed. The bed is one of the comfiest beds we have slept in and the food is fantastic. The staff truly make the hotel though and we will always opt to stay here from now on. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend and going above and beyond for us.

First time we’ve taken our dog to a hotel and wish we’d discovered Ravenstone Manor sooner - it is fab!. No compromise in quality whatsoever for it being so dog friendly. Just every thoughtful touch, exceptional staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere, spotlessly clean throughout, really well appointed bedrooms, bar, cosy snug and spacious restaurant. To top it off the food is excellent too!

We two Golden Retrievers had an absolutely fantastic time, warm bath/shower for dealing with muddy paws, then fluffy towels to dry us. Breakfasts were an absolute delight with tasty sausages served in a special bowl. We were made so welcome, wherever we went, we were greeted in a positive and friendly manner- true doggy heaven! We’ve even persuaded our owners to book again for the summer.😉 Our humans also had an amazing stay, they said the staff, without exception, consistently went the extra mile, they felt truly pampered. Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing hotel overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Rooms are lovely, always spotlessly clean, spacious with great views. Very doggy friendly with dogs allowed in every part of the hotel. They even have hot running water and clean towels to wash muddy paws. Food is outstanding!!! The chefs are so talented and the service is always superb. As for the staff, what can I say? It's like staying with family. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Special mentions for Nicky, she always goes above and beyond, Amy, one of the loveliest people we've ever met, James, always funny, Aleks who runs the hotel amazingly well, the girls at breakfast who are brilliant, and everyone else (sorry we didn't catch all your names this time!) Also the kitchen staff, you're incredible!! Charlie you've got an amazing set of staff and you should be very proud of each and every one. Thank you for another great stay, just one disappointment, having to come home 😞

Stayed here for three nights on our way back from Scotland, one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in! The staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home and are truly excellent. We were only booked for two nights but extended a night (as did at least one other couple we spoke with), we will be back (hopefully with a dog next time!)

My family and I have really had a wonderful time spending this week at this little gem of a hotel! I wasn’t sure what to think when I first arrived. The few issues I had were corrected by the lovely maintenance team. Alison and Matt are at the heart of this hotel and couldn’t do anymore for us. Excellent attitude and customer service - amazing thank so much. All the breakfast staff were very accommodating and welcoming too. Especially for how lovely they were with my two little girls. The food is outstanding! I ate mostly in our cottage called trusmadoor which is next to the hotel. This was easier with young children rather than formal setting. Staff brought our dinner to our door! You must try the sticky toffee pudding - best I’ve ever tasted. Photos attached. Breakfast was high quality ingredients and presented with care. Cooked to your own preference- excellent standard. The self contained cottage had a small kitchen with living room and one large bedroom and bathroom. Highlight is the views and balcony- stunning see photos. The underfloor heating made it cosy and welcoming after a long walk. You can hear the road but it’s really not bad. You can also hear the birds singing in the morning. Location was very well appointed- Keswick very close highlight was Beatrix potter in Bowness the children loved it! Aira force water fall also fantastic very close. Kind regards the richardson family
