This was a Christmas present from our family. This is our second visit and it certainly didn't disappoint. Beautiful views with walks behind hotel to bassenthwaite lake and Dodd wood. Food is amazing, James the chef has won AA rossette award for culinary excellence for the last 3 years. We had a fabulous meal of minted lamb and black pudding...

Excellent hotel, lovely location and friendly staff, breakfast was tasty and plentiful, would definitely stay again without hesitation. Short drive from Keswick but nice enough to stay in the hotel and enjoy the grounds and scenery. Thank you

Location is brilliant, just a short walk from the lake and central to various centres for activities and exploring. Lovely room, food was fantastic and staff very attentive. Floria especially was absolutely brilliant. Just one night for a last minute get-away, what a find. This place has a friendly and personal atmosphere, just right. Good sized room well appointed. A peaceful and relaxing spot, and really good dining; staff excellent.

Greeted warmly by the owner. Shown around and to our room which was nicely decorated and very clean. Homemade biscuits were lovely touch. Ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Nice to watch the chef in the open kitchen preparing meals too. Fillet steak was to die for and the best I have had in a long time....

We stayed for 3 nights at the Ravenstone Lodge and had a very comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was nice and clean. It has a cosy, homely feel to the hotel. We ate in the Bistro and the food was very nice - we were upgraded to a luxury room (room 6) which was lovely...
