David and Angela are a lovely, generous couple who will make you feel right at home. I felt very well taken care of while I was there, which, as a woman traveling solo, is important to me. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area to help you decide what to do, where to eat, etc. During my 3-night stay, the dining room became a social club, and I greatly enjoyed talking to the other visitors well into the night (as we emptied the beer fridge). Their place is not just for motorcyclists, although that makes up most of the guests; this is an ideal stop for families, couples or singles to explore the surrounding area, which is utterly, breath-takingly gorgeous. You can take several walks of varying length and difficulty into the surrounding Black Forest, leaving right from their front door.

Stayed for a couple of nights in July, Ideal base for holidays, was touring on a motorbike and found the place to be perfect, Accomadation is very good and cannot be faulted, Host are really good and go out of there way to help and assist, even collecting the takeaways when the local resturant was closed. Honesty bar for snacks and drinks. The surrounding area is very beautiful. i will definitely be returning to the area and in particular to Pension Williams.
thanks for a very enjoyable couple of days.

After failing to find some where to stop in baden baden we came across this pension in seebach. The room was quite spacious with a balcony looking over the blackforest. A great place to enjoy a couple of beers from the honesty bar. The owner ran us to the local steakhouse a couple of mile up the road and arranged for the owners of the steakhouse to run us back. The breakfast was ample with a good range to select from. We would throughly recommend it to anyone traveling through the blackforest.

We booked a week in August as part of our motorcyle tour and combined walking trip in the forest... The route in on the B500 from Baden Baden is great to ride with top views, particularly at Mummelsee. The final approach to Seebach is a steep descent down the valley, look for the Pension on the right.
The accomodation is a little dated but very clean and tidy. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, offering lifts to the local steakhouse, ordering pizza in if required and the on site bar. The rooms on the front of the Pension are larger than average, with good sized balcony and great views over the village and forest. Breakfast is continental with reasonable choice including free top ups of tea and coffee. We took advantage of the pack-up lunches which were more than sufficient for our walks. The walks are many and varied with superb views, some reaching 1000m, be sure to ask for the local area map.
Within the village there is a supermarket stocking the full range of provisions including an excellent bakery/coffee shop. We also recommend the local beer garden, which serves food and beer in the evenings.
No visit would be complete without a trip to Freudenstadt, providing a full run of the B500, and more excellent cake shops set around the pretty town square.
Overall a great trip, top value for money and the biggest endorsement - we will definitely be returning...

Pension Williams was chosen at random as a stop over on a longer journey but what a find.
It's location is ideal in the sleepy village of Seebach, you're in easy travelling distance to all sorts of other places of interest be it walking, cycling or touring by car or motorcycle as we were.
David and Angela are excellent hosts, being on hand and helpful without you feeling you're being watched.
Having read some of the other reviews, yes, the rooms are a little dated, but they're very clean and functional with balconies that afford a wonderful view, plus the shower is excellent. At the end of the day you're not paying for a 5 star hotel so why would you expect one.
We stayed a total of 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely venue located very close to the bikers road the B500, in fact the road from Seebach to the B500 is just as wriggly and enjoyable (if you do visit this area all the roads are perfect for bikers). David and Angela are very welcoming, the rooms are good and very clean (i had a single room at the back with obviously no view but it was fine with a good sized bathroom and lobby), a great fresh breakfast and well stocked bar area.
Good eating at the local restaurant but better beer in the "beer garden" and if you like steak then this is the place (no chips though).
Great views from the front rooms with balcony's, this is a great and very good value venue, everybody is welcome, David joked that "even if you arrived on a Po go stick you would be welcomed, just as long as you didn't ride it indoors"

Just got my photos from my third visit to Pension William. I travelled there by Euro Star to Strasbourg and onto Ottenhöfen on the train, where David picked me up an enjoyable journey. On my previous 2 visits I have be accompanied by my daughters, but with them and my partner working I decided to go on my own due to the fact that I know how well David and Angela look after their guests and that if I had a problem whilst out and about I could ring them for help. The weather wasn't brilliant but with the Konus card I was able to hop on the train on the two rainy days and visit Freudenstadt and Triburg. The rest of the time I walked in the lovely fresh Black Forest air, arriving back to a lovely hot shower and a nice warm room.

I stayed here with a friend for two nights - we had come to the area to ride the famous B500! The hotel was brilliant and the owner David was very helpful - we arrived late the first night and he drove us to the local steakhouse for dinner. The owners of the steakhouse then drove us back - you can't get much better service than that! The continental breakfast was nice and offered a variety of cereals, juice etc - hard boiled eggs were also available. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and ours had a balcony with amazing views.

The hotel is ideally situated for riding the B500 as it is only 5 minutes to the junction where you can head right for some fast and flowing or left for tight and twisty.

I would definitely stay here again and am hoping to come back in a few years time!

I have just returned from a week based at Pension Williams in the peaceful village of Seebach in the mid-Black Forest. I was greeted on my arrival by hosts Angela & David with a refreshing cup of tea and a chat about local facilities and attractions. I opted for a room at the front of the hotel, one with it's own balcony from which I was able, at times, to sit overlooking the green splendour of the surrounding valley. Motorcycle riders wishing to enjoy the local routes are most welcome. Seebach is a small village where you will find no themed attractions but if you want local colour and culture this is the place to be. There are local eateries with extensive menus at sensible prices and with friendly staff in attendance. A major plus is the benefit of free rail travel, within the Scharzwald region, provided by the local administration to all visitors staying at local accommodations. Will I return - most certainly.

Pension Williams is in a stunning location in Seebach, with wonderful views from the 2nd floor balconies.
The bed was comfortable, the cost amazingly low and the breakfast good.
You definitely need a car for this area though (unless you're more of a sportsman than I), and perhaps that should be made clear in the advertizing. There are only buses in and out of Seebach on Tuesdays and Thursdays (3 each way), and the railway station is in Ottenhoefen, a couple of miles away. The friendly Williamses were always willing to give lifts if asked but it takes the edge off your enjoyment to feel beholden.

A peaceful gem - I'd happily return (though with a chauffeur).
