Nevertheless there was a reasonable menu choice and everything we ate was well cooked and presented and most enjoyable Service was very friendly and comfortable. A very pleasant rural escape from...

Sandy thank you so much for taking the trouble to review your visit. This little pub serves excellent food, beers and wine. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are definitely trying to make a good impression and are pulling out all stops to do so. I would recommend this place, so pop in for a pint and a meal and you wont be disappointed.

Visited the engine inn today as part of a local discount voucher scheme run via pirate fm. Living some 20+ miles away it is usually out of our normal area for family dining. We were welcomed instantly on arrival and made to feel very welcome throughout with nothing, to much trouble. The Sunday roast was excellent and prompt, the kids...

Once again a wonderful time in the engine. Lovely hosts welcoming atmosphere and a good choice of ales. Sunday jam session is always a good way to enjoy a beer and listen to great music. And the food tastes great well worth a visit if your down in Cornwall

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I was very disappointed to read your comments and am sorry that you felt that you were made to feel unwelcome at The Engine. I note that although you reviewed us on the 5th December you visited us back in October, so I would appreciate knowing more about your visit...

I facebook messaged the team about an hour before visiting to see if they were able to accommodate for vegans and included in the reply was "if you could let us know you are vegan (or if a member of your party is) before ordering we will be happy to make sure or make something specially". On ordering the chef...
