Thanks to Steve and Yvonne for a lovely weekend break. They welcomed us with a smile and continued to make us feel at home during the 3 days away. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful gardens and house only a few miles away from the Alnwick town centre. Both ourselves and our friends from Scotland really enjoyed being there and...

Excellent accommodation & facilities, Lovely welcome & good breakfast in good location just outside Alnwick. Lovely guests Lounge very useful & nice gardens. Good location for visiting Alnwick, Seshouses, Bamburgh & Berwick etc. Only minor negatives were very soft bed & poor Wi-Fi signal .

One of our top places to stay. Very warm, friendly welcome, cup of tea, immaculate room with every convenience. Simply cannot find any fault. Good pub 5 mins walk with excellent food and a great pint (sometimes lacking in this part of the world) Very handy for the coast, Cragside, Hadrians Wall. Don't try to find a parking place in...

This lovely, comfortable small hotel is an absolute gem. Yvonne and Steve did all we could have asked for to ensure we were made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, even offering to run us into Alnwick if we were unable to book a taxi! The breakfast were divine, eggs couldn't have been much fresher since they keep...

This is a pristinely stunning small hotel run by a husband and wife team who love their place and love to provide a great resource. The bedroom was beautiful, making terrific use of space and with everything of the highest possible standard. The bed was heaven, with beautiful white Egyptian cotton bed-linen and with lovely colour coordination of the coverings,...

We've just returned from spending 3 nights at the Old School and were made to feel most welcome. Yvonne and Steve have done everything possible to make their guests comfortable. A lovely room, which was clean and comfortable and a delicious breakfast which could last you all day! A good location for plenty of visits.
