We booke don here for a two night stay in our caravan and have to say we did not know what to expect! What a lovely surprise. A beautiful summers evening we pulled up to be met by the owner who showed us to our pitch and informed of what was what ie loos, washing facilities etc and then left...

Michael and Michelle were warm and caring hosts with a superb personal touch; from home made scones to organising and arranging transport for our short stay. It was a snowy reception making the scenery around the Piggeries even more idyllic. Once inside the surprisingly spacious and top quality accomadation the outlook to the countryside views were breathtakingly beautiful and unforgettable....

We stayed for one night on our way to visit friends. We found the accommodation well appointed, clean and more than comfortable. There are plenty of options nearby (by nearby I mean a short car journey) for food that were recommended by the owner. We visited the Alma and weren't disappointed. The best thing though is the peace and quiet....

We only stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in the area, but wow!!! what an amazing find. The accomodation offered everything you could need for a self catering break and the owner Michael and his wife were fantastic hosts. Michael even gave us a lift into the village to save us getting a taxi. The best part of...

Hi we are really glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you again when you have more time to relax and enjoy the views. Just to clarify "The Piggeries" is a B & B but does have a kitchenette with a fridge freezer and dishwasher, the only form of cooking is a microwave.

Stumbling across the Piggaries on I Know Yorkshire website was so lucky as this is the perfect littel getaway. On arrival you are greeted by the nicest possible welsome from your hosts who spent time to tell us anything we wanted to know about the place & the local area. The modern appliances along with the old fashioned wooden beams...

"Come early, your room is ready now if you want it" Excellent news after a long trip up from London. Once we arrived we were greeted by the lovely hosts - they were making drop scones (seriously good ones!!) We were then given our own little hamper of food for our breakfast the following day. Inside the hamper were lots...

What a fantastic place. The room/self contained mini apartment was fantastic. The view was stunning and the hosts (and the breakfast!) were wonderful. We only stayed one night but really wish we had stayed longer. A total gem of a place.

We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and are looking forward to coming back to visit us again. The camping chairs were hiding in the back of the wardrobe so lets hope you have a glorious evening to sit and watch the swallows swooping overhead and enjoy a galss of wine. Michael and Michele
