We booked three rooms for an overnight stay. This was so extended family could get together to meet even more family in Halifax. Climbing very steep hills from Sowerby Bridge to get to the property we were rewarded with magnificent views of the valley to the front of the property. Plenty of off road parking which was free. Greeting by...

We visited The New Hobbit on a Sunday afternoon and didn't book. This place is stunning in terms of decor and cleanliness. The staff are as welcoming and inviting as the log burning fire is, and the food matched all the features that this hidden gem has to offer. Will be visiting again!

Myself and my partner headed to The New Hobbit this last Sunday for my Birthday weekend and I have to say - we were treated to a first class experience. Not only was the food in the restaurant fantastic but the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and really went the extra mile - so much so that they treated...

We were surprised to experience such a high level of accommodation at such a reasonable price! Rooms were attractively designed and furnished, breakfast was excellent and staff courteous and friendly. We will certainly stay here again when in the area.

We stayed here to be close to Huddersfield - but a little further out for peace and quiet. The New Hobbit is still having additional rooms built and has obviously undergone considerable refurbishment. Our room(#1) overlooked the car park but was completely quiet - I guess if a wedding celebration was underway and you were not invited, it could be...

A large group of us stayed here over the weekend for a family wedding. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious and the beds are fantastic - so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the service generally was excellent - the staff are all quite young, friendly and efficient. One of our party had a dress disaster on the day of...

Very friendly staff on arrival, lovely contemporary style pub. Great views and nice part of the world. Room was immaculate and great big bed! Food was excellent, both at dinner and at breakfast. The hotel has most of the attributes to make this a good review, but unfortunately we arrived to find no heating. This seems to be an ongoing issue and not something they are trying to solve asap. A small heater did warm our room, but not the bathroom. Public spaces and hallways were chilly, and it was not a particularly...
