We visited the Racehorse Inn for dinner during or visit to the Cornwall region in October of 2016. The pub food was phenomenal and the libations refreshing. Whenever we travel we like to sample the local food and drink and the Racehorse Inn did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the service was delightful. We were introduced to Cornish...

This pub has been transformed over the years and is now one of the best village pubs around this area. The food is fantastic along with the drinks. First class in every way! The staff are very polite and friendly here. Hope it continues!

We had lunch here in seafood week. Oysters, scallops, prawns and a fish soup were all very fresh and deliciously cooked and served. The host was friendly, flexible about dishes and accommodating. First rate all round.

A lovely country inn in the middle of nowhere. A beautifully finished room and a comfortable bed. The pub was quite busy and the food was great. My t-bone steak was delicious. Unfortunately the breakfast really let it down. It was very basic with no fresh fruit in spite of it being a 'Continental' breakfast. The choice of cereal was...

Had a great time, the staff are excellent the food served in the pub and lunch is good, maybe a little pricey. The room was tidy, a little dirty in places but no room is perfect, although the shower head in our room definitely needed a good clean and the wine cooler did not work and the tv in a...

I've reviewed the Racehorse before. It's still great with good quality food, wine and beer. The owners are charming. We are vegetarians and have small children and would welcome 1. A few more veggie options 2. One or two more child friendly options 3. Possibly some cheaper bar food, which would mean we'd eat there more often, instead of only...

Lovely friendly pub in deepest rural North Cornwall (some scary local lanes!). Nice room but watch out for the low beam in room 3. Food-wise my wife wanted the hake but it was not available so instead had muscles which were superb and tbone steak which was ok but let down by almost inedible chips whilst the "black-pudding potatoes" served...

This is without doubt the best food i have EVER eaten. Highly recommended. The room was pleasant, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. I wasn't really having massively high expectations from the food, but it was of a very very high standard indeed, and with drinks, wine, main course, dessert and coffees was less than £70 for us both.. A...

Went with friends last Saturday and although they had a large party in and the service was a little slow which was to be expected we were made most welcome. The ambience is delightful and the food first class we all had the lamb which was perfect and well presented, we all had different starters and desserts which all claimed...

Usually suspect about the term "Gastro Pub" but boy did this one lived up to the name. Lovely comfortable room, superb host and staff, and the food, wow! We were made very welcome on arrival. Our comfortable room was just that, and Ray the host could not have been more attentive.
