What a find! This place deserves credit where it's due.

I don't think I've ever come across a place where the staff couldn't do enough for you and they are so friendly and relaxed. Nothing was a bother to them.

The rooms were clean. They provided bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, towels, robes for the hot tubs and plenty of tea and coffee supplies in the room.

The grounds are stunning and although they're developing the site with paving, fencing and a bar, nothing interfered with the guests or the stunning views. There's a short walk down the lane to a jetty where you can rent a boat. The view is something else.

Breakfast was beautiful and the selection was something you'd see in a hotel and it was included in the price.

Currently they have a sauna and cold wayer exercipool thay all guests can use without extra charge. The 3 hot tubs on site must be booked. It's £25 a head for 2 hours, it was worth it.

I will definitely go back but I have a feeling, it's going to become extremely popular. The family have worked so hard to make it what it is and they deserve it it be a roaring success.

I highly recommend this resort and would definitely will stay again!

You don't have to be a fishing fan to appreciate this beautiful, family owned hotel. They're aimed not only at fishers, but also couples, families and groups of friends.

We're an early thirties couple from London who stayed here for two nights whilst celebrating our two-year anniversary.

It's a beautiful, large B&B/Lodge with a view of the nearby lake. James and Bridie (the owners) are incredibly welcoming and friendly. They made us feel completely at home and relaxed, with James giving us a tour when we arrived and showing us how to use the hot tub and spa facilities. Spa access is an additional £25pp but completely worth it. Dressing gowns, towels etc for the spa are also provided.

Rooms are simple, cosy, clean and tidy (incl TV, kettle, tea/coffee etc/hairdryer etc). Decent wifi also included for free.

Breakfast each morning was delicious (freshly cooked fry to order or help yourself to cereals, toast etc). Bridie has lot's of recommendations for nearby things to do (there are two STUNNING waterfalls about a 45min drive across the border - one called "Devil's Chimney")

James/Bridie also own the Black Cat Cove, a local pub about a 5min drive away in Belleek. Great pub, great food, fairly priced. They're also building a bar onsite, set to open in the not too distant future.

It's not a "Sir/Madam" kind of place. Instead, they'll get to know you by name, know what you enjoy for breakfast and genuinely care that you enjoy your stay and feel totally at home. For us, that was perfect and we couldn't have asked for anymore.

I organised my wife's 40th birthday celebration at Dulrush Fishing Lodge - Bridie, James and their staff were excellent, they couldn't have been more accommodating. The booking was for 25 guests and all the rooms were really well presented. The new outdoor spa was great and the children enjoyed using all the facilities. Thanks Bridie and James for your hospitality!

I would like to let other people know about the hot tub/sauna. Obviously this is a fishing lodge, it’s in a very remote location so the thing that drew us in was the hot tubs. I had assumed it was included in the price, there is a page in the rooms that even says the facilities that are available. Nowhere does it say that the price of your stay doesn’t include the hot tubs, I am not sure why else people would stay otherwise given then remote location. It’s an extra £25 per person for 2 hours for the hot tubs. When we got down at 5pm there was the rubbish from a party the night before, roughly 50 bottles with glasses at the side of the hot tubs. The owner was mortified and tried to clear them away but the place was a mess. Bottle caps alongside where you need to get into the hot tubs. I think it’s important for Dulrush to be transparent about the cost, it isn’t mentioned anywhere and you can’t just come and go from the “spa” as you please.
We saw mention of boats on other reviews but they weren't mentioned to us at all.

The location itself isn’t walk-able to anywhere for dinner, there is no footpath.

Finally, at the breakfast I asked for sausage, bacon & potato bread. The lady brought the full fry with extra bits and laughed saying that the chef thought I might like some of the other things too. I think Dulrush need to be more careful as people with the likes of egg allergies would order the breakfast without egg for a reason, it isn’t great that a chef would think to add it onto the breakfast even though I specifically said no egg please.

Overall there is a lot that Dulrush need to do to get people to return to somewhere so remote.

Upon arrival we spot wild geese, enjoying the tranquility, the peace.
We're greated by James the gentleman, building, creating with his bare hands.

The boats at the jetti the rods at the ready some fishing to be done.
Alas its not so, to Belleek we must go for the birthday girl to have fun.

And so we drove, to black cat cove, the dogs joined us FOR A DRINK. The delicious grub, the craic in this pub created a comfort in which to sink.

With plenty on draught, plenty of laughs and an atmosphere like home. For somewhere to chill with some time to kill, you wouldn't need to roam.

We hit the offy on our way back, only we're driving we'd have stayed for the craic. We have a drink by the spa while the dogs have a snooze, the beauty around us is helped by the booze.

Up to our room for some birthday delight, I tell her she's beautiful she says.... goodnight.

We awake in the morning rested and fresh, not an easy task after a drinking sesh. Out with the dogs to lift their leg, the geese are all gone, replaced with a stag.

I look to the field and its covered in deer, one bark from my mutt, the whole herd disappears.

Time for brekky to build strength for the trip. Some pancakes from which the maple syrup does drip? Not for me, a full irish will do. Sausages, bacon, eggs beans and toast, accompanied by tato bread all made by our host.

Aha! The host, Bridie's her name! She deserves happiness, health, wealth and fame. A lovely woman, welcoming and kind. A better host you'll struggle to find.

And home we go, bellies full, our only regret.... not getting in the pool.

Thanks for a lovely stay Bridie and James. We'll be back for sure.

The Belfast couple and 2 mutts. :)

The Dulrush fishing lodge is a truly spectacular place to stay. I can’t wait to return when all the building work has finished. The new restaurant and bar will improve this place if that is possible!!! The Hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms out on the patio areas are astounding. James and Bridie the owners are fabulous hosts once they checked us in they let us get on with it and anything you asked was no trouble at all.(James even offered to run us into to town for some refreshments 😉 as his bar/restaurant has not been completed yet due to COVID) I would highly recommend this place. The lodge itself is set back about 500 or 600m of the main road and also has its own access to lough Erne from the private jetty. So this place is pure peace, quite and tranquility. We will return!!! I can just picture myself in the hot tub with the snow in the surrounding fields. Thanks again James and Bridie and good luck getting the extension finished!!

Honestly, what do people look for when they go away?

I find if we go away and have no issues or complaints we usually have had a good trip, this was the case just getting back from Dulrush.

We look for hospitality, beautiful surroundings, great service and a caring attitude for customers, fortunately for us Dulrush fishing lodge had this in spades.

Bridie, James, their family and the rest of the team work tirelessly to make sure your stay is everything it should be.

From the very start communication was excellent, any questions I had were answered with a quick phone call or email.

We had a party of eight with 4 dogs in toe, 4 staying in rooms, 4 staying in the self contained apartment, we took a boat as well which was catered for in the marina.

Great breakfast every morning and the wife and kids loved the use of the hot tubs on the last evening.

We were in the apartment, two spacious bedrooms a massive bathroom, a living area with a fully equipped kitchen and a courtyard out the back were we sat in downtime. The dogs made good use of this area as well. It had everything we needed.

All in all we had a great trip and was thoroughly enjoyed.

I would highly recommend Dulrush fishing lodge to anyone looking for a family friendly stay in a beautiful part of the country.

Well what can I say.

This venue is magnificent, just mindblowing. We hired our the premises on a self-catering basis and we certainly weren't disappointed. So much space and especially with covid 19 this venue was perfect. Two large sitting rooms, large kitchen, huge dining area and 17 bedrooms. We certainly had room to socially distance.

The accommodation is spotless. We were very impressed with all areas.

Outdoors facilities include 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, steam room and exercise pool and all areas again were so clean.

Bridie and James, the owners were staying in an apartment adjoining to the premises and although they were at hand if we needed them they gave us the privacy we needed. They are a delight to work with.

I could not recommend this accommodation highly enough. Please visit and see for yourself.

I thank you at Dulrush for a memorable experience.

Just back from an amazing stay. We stayed in the self catering cabins, gorgeous, really spacious with 2 ensuites. Had breakfast which was an extra tenner each but it was well worth it, top quality, loved the quirkiness of the breakfast room with the different types of crockery. Unfortunately we couldn't hire a boat because of the weather but we will definitely be back again so hopefully next time we get the sunshine.

We are just home from a great weekend in Dulrush Fishing Lodge and what a lovely time we had. From the initial welcome from Bridie through to the checkout was fantastic, and the hospitality was exceptional. With 12 adults and 4 children there for my wife's 60th birthday, Bridie set us up in one of their living rooms each evening and we had great craic. Having booked Sat night dinner in the Black Cat Cove, it was disappointing when their restaurant had to close, however Bridie rescued the evening by putting us on a buffet dinner. We will most certainly be back.
