In December we booked to stay at the cranborne in February. We booked two nights at a cost of £240. We are a young couple with a baby and were booking to attend a medical appointment. The hotel was aware of this. On checking the website before we arrived for our stay the website advertised all rooms at £50 per...

My husband and I found this gem on the internet and stayed for the weekend of 11/12th February. The inn was very traditional with modern touches that made it very special. Our room, Cranbourne Chase, was large and beautifully decorated with very nice touches such as the cafetière and coffee, the iPod dock, the lovely toiletries and extra large shower!...

The staff all her personality is whether you're talking about front of house or in the kitchen and I will talk to you in a very welcoming and friendly manner. The food is exceptional and I have yet to be disappointed after having stayed on many occasions. The hotel is set in a very Sareen location, is very peaceful and...

Myself and my fiancé have just got back from a wonderful weekend 2 night stay at the inn at cranborne. This was an engagement gift to us from family and with it being right on the edge of the new forest, which is a favourite of ours, we were so excited! Our room at the Inn at Cranborne was what...

This is the second time we have stayed here and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The room was perfect and very comfortable, and the food, both dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. With very friendly staff thrown into the mix this is a great place to have as a base to explore the area, although when we went...

Prices higher than 10 Castle Street which is far superior. The staff were very pleasant but the food was average. Would not bother to visit again. The burgers were far too expensive as were the average sandwiches and then they add a service charge!

Dropped in after buying a car from a local dealer (also great, btw!) who recommended it to us. When went in I was worried it was a little bit posh for us with two kids, but the staff couldn't have been nicer. They found us a table suitable, and brought our food quickly as demanded by our 2.5 year old....

Spent a Sunday night at this refurbished very old Inn. Really delicious evening meal and comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast, cooked to order, also very good. However our visit was marrred somewhat by the dirty bathroom and the loo which had a broken flush.

We had just flown in to Gatwick so we had a somewhat tortuous journey down the seemingly endless roadworks on the M3 en-route to Cranborne. We made good time and found the Inn very easily with plenty of parking at the rear. No fuss at check-in and Nate was on-hand to answer any questions. The room very comfortable and after...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Within this 17th Century building, Jane Gould has brought about her own vision of a traditional English Country Inn. Amongst the wood burning stoves, cosy corners and sharing tables you will find hearty interesting food, lovingly restored bedrooms featuring large beds with snuggly duvets and a choice of pillows and fabulous en-suite bathrooms with powerful showers, some roll-top baths and Bramley products. The daily changing menu is interesting but not overwhelming and there is always great range of well-kept Real Ales, including the Inn’s own Fleur Ale, brewed specially by Hall & Woodhouse. The Inn at Cranborne is fast becoming a focal point of the delightful village of Cranborne, set as it is in the heart of Cranborne Chase with its ample opportunities for fishing and shooting. It is a short drive to the New Forest, the beautiful Jurassic Coast and the sandy beaches of Bournemouth. Winborne, Salisbury, Shaftesbury and many gardens and historic places are within an easy drive. The area is also great for cycling and walking, with Jubilee trail right on our doorstep. ... more   less
