Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in the Bothy, perfect for staying in with kids with the addition of bunk bed room. Plenty space, beautiful views from every window, lovely walks around the estate, kids loved the outdoor bath, and the wifi was a great bonus! Would stay again.

I can’t rave about this place enough. Went for a couple of nights for my wife’s birthday and it was nothing short of spectacular! They have thought of everything, the attention to detail, the facilities, the food, the surroundings. We will be back and everyone should go!

An exceptionally beautiful and comfortable place to relax for a few nights and we could have stayed longer. The view/location is a joy to wake up to. The service around our stay was always positive and helpful. A lot of thought has gone into the treehouses themselves as well as the experience of being there and having everything you need. We will go again!

Fantastic place to spend some time in peace and quiet. Don't think this is going to be a bit rustic for you. The Wren, where we stayed, is far from it. Every wee thing you might need has been thought of including the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in surrounded by views of nature. Loved it. Thank you.

Q - Why did you choose to stay at The Treehouses at Lanrick? And what drew you to the particular Treehouse? A - We were browsing for a rural "middle of nowhere" break and found The Treehouses which looked amazing. We considered all of The Treehouses and decided on the added luxury of The Bothy. Q - How was the website, and how easy was the booking process? Is there anything you think we should change or could do better? A - The Treehouses webiste was incredibly easy to use and navigate. We especially liked the Vamos app which provided all the information needed for our stay and a countdown to our stay.    Q - What was the best thing about your stay? A -  The quality and finish of The Bothy was outstanding, we could both live there! The copper bath was hot and a relaxing way to spend a cold, starry night. The surroundings were beautiful and provided the perfect setting for the break we were looking for. We loved how cosy and warm the log burner made The Bothy. Q - Did it meet your expectations based on the website? If not, then in what way? A - Exceeded our expectations.     Q - Do you think the place was good value for money? If not, then why? A - Yes, The Treehouses is a site completed to a high standard and finish and is certainly worth the money. Q - Do you have any suggestions as to how it could be improved? A - We would have liked a history of the local area, as walking around the grounds provided interesting viewing of the ruins, but a history of the site would have added more context.     Q - We know it's very subjective, and not always easy to do - but if you had to rate your holiday out of ten…? A - 10! Q - On a scale of one to ten, how likely would you be to recommend The Treehouses to family and friends? A - 10 Q - Would you consider staying at our sister site (The Treehouses at Leckie) in the future? A - Yes, when booking The Treehouses we were unaware of the sister site at Leckie. We would have loved to have brought our dog, she would have loved exploring the area and laying in front of the fire. Q - Why did you choose to stay at The Treehouses at Lanrick? Amazing bougee treehouse experience. The cabins are beautifully built and the two silver birch trucks coming through the treehouse were remarkable. We loved watching nuthatches, treecreeper, woodpeckers and red squirrels from the windows. Very comfortable bed and the outdoor bath was the cherry on top! How relaxing. It was our honeymoon and felt incredibly special and romantic.

We had previously stayed at the treehouses in Lanrick which were also incredible. Then at really short notice, booking for the second half of our honeymoon, discovered the Leckie treehouses which are dog-friendly. Having had such a good experience the first time there was no doubt about coming here. Booking was incredibly easy. The website is up-to-date and when talking to the team everyone was very helpful. It couldn't have been any easier to set up. All the pre-arrival instructions were clear and simple to follow. The treehouses themselves are impeccable. There is such attention to detail in everything. They're so comfortable and welcoming - we could have stayed for many more nights! Loved the log burner, outdoor bath, breakfast basket and having steps down into a field on the estate for dog walks. We were there in the middle of the weather warnings and it couldn't have been a more perfect place to shelter from the cold. If you want a well looked after, cosy, quiet escape this is the place to go. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back for more! (keen to try warmer months next time and getting the bbq on the go with drinks out on the terrace!!)

My wife and I came to Lanrick Treehouses for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. Everything was setup on arrival with the log fire already crackling! We both had the most amazing time and are already talking about a second trip. The treehouses are beautifully furnished to the highest spec, are cosy, comfortable and just ideal for a romantic break. The surrounding area is also idyllic with nature, walks and countryside. We look forward to visiting again!

We have just spent a magical weekend in one of the treehouses at Leckie. The treehouses themselves are wonderful and the outdoor bath was a particular hit with the kids. We loved exploring the surrounding woodland and waterfalls! Couldn't recommend it more!

Thank you so much for leaving a review about your stay at our sister site at Leckie. I'm glad that your children also really enjoyed it and you could all explore the stunning outdoors we have there.....as well as the outdoor bath of course! Hope to have you and your family back to stay again very soon, either at Leckie or here at Lanrick.
