Certainly, I was very lucky because I enjoyed a beautiful day in May, with sunny weather through the day and a balmy evening. But the guys at the Coach House also made me feel very welcome and gave me valuable tips for finding my way around. A very decent accomodation!

Visited tonight! Family visiting from Aberdeen so wanted to support the local pub! Usually have our works Xmas nights out with you!! Very disappointed with the meals! I had to send a curry back because it was like water, and totally tasteless! How can you get a curry that wrong!!! So sad when you have to go back home to...

We came for dinner as we had previously had good experiences. We had booked a table for 5 persons at 6pm. The restaurant almost empty with only one other table being occupied. There was a special menu with a fixed price of £18.00 for 3 courses and a glass of fizzy wine which was very good value. The serving staff...

The Coach House is a great place to stay. We had an evening meal which was very nice and reasonably priced. The family room was spot on. Two comfy double beds with an en suite. The night in the pub was excellent with good friends and a great atmosphere. Visit was topped off with a 'hearty' breakfast. Good service, very...

Whilst I haven't stayed overnight at the Coach House we have visited for lunch several times in the last couple of years. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere with a roaring log fire and great staff. There is an extensive lunch menu and the food has always been excellent. I had Cullen Skink last Saturday and it was...

We had booked a room at this establishment some months earlier, and received an email 8 days prior asking for confirmation, and I confirmed by return email. On arrival on the day we were informed there was no room for us as they had taken over the business three weeks earlier and the previous owners had not passed on the...

Our first visit to this venue despite it being fairly near to us. Plenty of parking available. A warm welcome from the staff and we were seated in very pleasant surroundings. It is suitable for persons with limited mobility. We had a light lunch which consisted of soup and a sandwich. The food was of good quality with the soup...

My wife and i booked for two nights at the end of July 2015. On arrival the staff had no notification that we were arriving stating that they had changed management and previous owner had not handed over booking details. The downstairs of the hotel/inn was fairly pleasant boding well for our room - however this was not the case....

What can I say, this place is amazing. Food fantastic and lovely staff. Was in it before it changed hands and was not impressed. Definitely a better place. Reading a comment on here it looks like sour grapes to me but I need to disagree with it. We couldn't of been made more welcome and the toilets were spotless. The...

This place has altered so much the charm we fell for was taken away by too many alterations and sub standard food. Shame to see that these changes affected the staff too, so much so that they felt they had to leave. I found the new landlady aloof, unapproachable and when I complained about the bad food she just gave...

I am all for constructive criticism however I have never understood the people who feel the need to write reviews out of pure spite and I certainly wont accept lies. Firstly.. what staff are you referring too???? Secondly I am the landlady and I have NEVER received a complaint from yourself re food and certainly have NEVER said "that is...
