The Copper House stay is all about luxury, comfort and relaxation and Linda and Andy provide a thoughtful and bespoke service. Our welcome was just as warm as the first with home made refreshments to greet us after a long drive and wine and chocolates to enjoy at our leisure. The only difference were the Covid regulations now in place which were comforting but unobtrusive. Both rooms have a private terrace overlooking beautiful gardens. Room 1 is spacious with a 6' bed and a choice of pillows while the ensuite includes a huge bath as well as a rain shower. The breakfast menu is wide ranging and can be tailored to your requirements. We tried something different each day and every breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. The Copper House is ideally situated for exploring both locally and further afield. The sandy beach is a short walk away with water sports, rock pools and caves to explore. You can also join the mining trail and other coastal walks with stunning views. Cafes and bars are available when you need refreshment. Portreath is not far from the A30 for those wishing to take a day trip. Highly recommended!

Our first mini holiday after lockdown made to the Copper House was perfect. We were a little nervous regarding Covid but Linda and Andy ensured that a very high standard of hygiene was in place and we were able to totally relax and were able to enjoy our visit. From the home baked bread, homemade marmalade, cream tea and eggs courtesy of two lovely chickens plus all the other little touches we felt very much at home. The accommodation was large and very comfortable with a terrace overlooking a wonderful view. Linda and Andy have to be the most industrious hosts with a very focussed attention to detail and we would highly recommend a visit to enjoy their warm hospitality. We shall definitely be returning.

Our first visit to The Copper House and we were greeted with such a warm welcome from Linda. We were shown to our room which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and with the added bonus of a lovely terrace overlooking woodland. I loved sitting out there in the evening with my book and a glass of wine, it was so peaceful and very pretty with the solar light twinkling around me.
We were spoilt with delicious homemade gluten free cookies, brownies and chocolates. So lovely to have fresh milk available in the silent fridge. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. I can highly recommend you try the croissants and the porridge with some homemade rhubarb compote! We chose to eat out on the terrace each day because the weather was great.
Our stay was to do some coastal path walks which we could do straight from the door, the walks were quite strenuous (lots of steps), so having a fantastic shower and comfortable bed was high on our list and that is exactly what you will find at the Copper House. Lovely soft towels and bathrobes.
Plenty of local information available, WiFi, TV and radio, tea, hot chocolate and a coffee machine, everything needed to make our stay even more enjoyable.
Located in a quiet area, just a short stroll from the beach, a good bakery and The Portreath Arms.
If we are back in the area, we would definitely book into The Copper House again.

We were in Cornwall for a family wedding and decided to extend our stay nearby for a couple of nights and what a pick we made! From the extremely warm welcome we received from Linda on arrival to the lovely large room and beautiful surroundings. I made a rod for my own back here as the wife absolutely loved the decor and finishing touches in the room (she actually praised me for picking such a nice place to stay). We had a very comfortable relaxing stay and like other reviews special mention should go to the superb breakfast delivered in the comfort of your room. Best breakfast we have had in a long while, I had a full cornish both mornings and the wife had Smoked salmon with scrambelled eggs one day and The Copper House vegetarian special the next and she praised both highly. Shame the weather wasn't good enough to have breakfast on the terrace in the mornings but on our first night we made the most of it by coming back earlier than we normally would to share a bottle of wine under the stars listening to the woodland sounds....just fabulous. Linda and Andy are great hosts and we wouldn't hesitate in staying at the Copper House again!

The Copper House is a beautifully designed, modern house with tasteful decor and art throughout. The bedrooms have doors to a private, large, timber decked patio with furniture and cosy lighting. The patio overlooks the valley which is fabulous for bird watching during the day and for staring at the stars at night. Linda's friendly welcome could not have been warmer, and the in-room breakfast service is worthy of a 5 star hotel. Talking of breakfast, not only delicious, but also a work of art, particularly the fruit salad.

I was in Cornwall for a wedding and stayed a few nights longer that had originally planned for. Linda was absolute lovely and communication was superb.
The room was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Tea & coffee facilities, fridge, hair dryer, bathrobes, towels, toiletries etc. I asked to borrow an iron and ironing board and it was provided almost immediately.
The bed was very comfortable and considerably better than pretty much anywhere else I've stayed.
I can fully recommend the full English breakfast. You won't be disappointed!
8 minute walk to the beach with a few restaurants nearby.
I will definitely be returning to the Copper House at some point.

Our 3 night stay at The Copper House started with a warm welcome from Linda. While we settled in, Linda returned with cake and ice cream, which was most welcome. The Copper House is at the end of a quiet lane. With amazing views up the valley. Very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. We stayed in Room 1, which is very spacious. A 6ft very comfortable bed. Linda will contact you prior to your stay to ask for you pillow preference. Lots of lovely touches, including biscuits and chocolates in the fridge. The breakfast choice is excellent. It is served in your room or on your balcony. Which is a lovely way to start the day, listening to the birds. Mostly home baked or locally sourced. The best scrambled eggs I've had for a long time. The location in Portreath is a ten minute walk down hill to the beach, pubs etc. A great base to explore this area of Cornwall. Linda and Andy a perfect hosts. We would highly recommend The Copper House to anyone looking for somewhere with comfort and luxury in mind

This was our 4th time staying at The Copper House and it most definitely won’t be our last. Fantastic service, Always a smile, amazing breakfasts. The freshest ingredients, home grown abs home made where possible. I would recommend the copper house special, delicious! The homemade marmalade is so good, I wish I could have it in order to home, along with the homemade wine! A wonderful place for a romantic getaway but also in a good location to see my favourite parts of Cornwall. Only 2 rooms which helps make this place special as well as quiet. If the weather is good, the private balcony overlooks the woodland and is very peaceful. Breakfast out there is always an aim when we go! We’ve stayed in both rooms twice, I think the bigger room with a bath is my favourite, but the other was where we went on our mini moon so is a bit special to us. Lots of little touches in the room gives a special feel, and nicely decorated and well maintained over the years we’ve visited. We will definitely return

Linda and Andy were the perfect hosts! After a 7 night stay, we left The Copper House feeling pampered and replenished. The varied breakfasts were scrumptious and our dietary needs were more than catered for. The cream tea and home baked cake were delicious. Our room was designed to a high specification, with every comfort catered for. We appreciated the high standard of cleanliness, fluffy dressing gowns and towels. All the personal touches provided a sense of luxury and comfort. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on our private terrace listening to birdsong and savouring the view. I echo everyone’s feedback and agree with everything that has been written about Linda, Andy and their B&B. They really are the perfect hosts; this is the perfect choice of accommodation in the area, and the most deserving 5 star review that one can get. Their attention to everything is second to none. They will go above and beyond to meet all of your needs and make your stay as comfortable as possible but it’s the small things and extra little details and thoughts put into it that will make your stay special. Our breakfast was better than a 5 star hotel’s with the lightest, fluffiest and the biggest home made croissants you will ever eat. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a terrace and stunning views of woodland. The location is absolutely perfect too and the beach is only a short walk away. Book direct for a better value but either way you will not regret it.

Regardless I would definitely recommend this B&B, service and quality of accommodation is second to none
