We had a lovely few days and nights at The Copper House. Linda and Andy are such great hosts. We received a truly warm welcome…like meeting up again with old friends. The Copper House has two lovely, large rooms each with a secluded patio area. The accommodation and service are described as ‘luxury’. I think they might better be described as ‘perfect’. Linda and Andy have obviously thought carefully about what makes a relaxing stay. The living / bedroom and the bathroom are set out as you would want and with everything you will need. Everything is very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast is brought to the room. The ‘full English’ is perfect and gives every appearance of being of quality ingredients. But the ‘showstopper’ is the fresh fruit and yogurt. I doubt you will ever find a more carefully presented and tasty (healthy) bowl. Portreath is not the most picturesque of the north Cornish villages, but it is ideally located to explore all the Cornish peninsula and its more celebrated and busy towns. And it does possess a place to stay which, of its type, may well be second to none and may be substantially better than many more grand destinations. Wholeheartedly recommended.

A beautiful secluded and peaceful spot tucked away at the end of a no through road. We were welcomed so warmly by Linda who really couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was enormous and lovely and bright. There was plenty of storage space, a huge comfortable bed, table and chairs inside and outside on a private balcony where you could eat a delicious home cooked breakfast which was delivered each morning at a time selected by us.

Hi Emma, Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so pleased you felt able to leave one. It is so peaceful here, at night especially. Just the hoot of an owl, the stream in the woods, and the rustling of the trees. I am so glad you also enjoyed the room and breakfasts. You were really lovely guests and we appreciate so much the time you took to write the review. Come and see us again. You would be most welcome.

Hi there you two, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We appreciate it greatly. We do like to spoil our guests because people spend time as well as money on their choice of holdiay destination and hotel and we want to give the best value we can. We loved having you as guests and it is easy to be a good host when guests such as yourselves were so lovely. Come and see us again next time you are in Portreath. My very best wishes Linda

We have just spent 4 nights with Linda and Andy at The Copper House and as usual been looked after like a 7 star facility, nothing would be too much trouble but they have already thought of every thing, so we just chill and relax, walk a little, eat a lot and meet up with family and friends. A big thank you as always and see you in July.

What an incredible couple of days and nights spent at The Copper House - THANK YOU! Linda and Andy leave no stone unturned when it comes to the service, amenities, comfort and pure joy provided. We've never slept in a bed so comfortable - and sunk into a 10.5 hour sleep on our first night... Bliss! Views are magical, breakfasts delicious and the whole ambience one of decadent calm. A jewel in the crown of Portreath and highly recommended. Thank you for getting our festive season off to such a magical, relaxing start!

Hi Nicky & Alex, It was so good to see you again Nicky and to meet the lovely Alex for the first (but hopefully not the last) time. I am so happy that you enjoyed yourself here and ecstatic that you slept 10.5 hours. You must have needed it! If my guests say they are calmed by the Copper House experience then I know I am doing something right. Thank you for your very positive praise and please come back . Have a lovely Christmas and may you both go from strength to strength in every way. Kind regards, Linda

If we were to run a B&B we would want it to be this good, this friendly, this delicious and this professional, outstanding, as always. Linda and Andy are such great hosts we feel we are being looked after by our friends. The room is just as we left it the last time we were there, it is like coming back to your own place, however without having to make the delicious breakfasts ourselves. looking forward to the next time, many thanks to you both

We stayed during the Summer and enjoyed our stay but we won’t be returning. There is a sign outside the property which is very anti tourist; at the end of our stay we very upset to discover that Linda herself has put the sign up. Why would a business reliant on visitors put up such an ani tourist sign?

You have not ever stayed at The Copper House. The sign in the street is not 'anti tourist'. It is a protest by local residents at the anti social effects of unscrupulous non resident property owners depriving the local community of much needed homes and instead using them for commercial profit. I cannot take credit myself for this protest, but I am more than happy to make known that I fully support it. Houses are for families to live in, not commercial profit opportunities. We all welcome tourist visitors and of course they are vital to the local economy, but there is plenty of purpose built tourist accommodation in the area and there is no justification to misuse residential property for venal profiteering with complete disregard of the effects on others.

The whole experience was second to none. We stayed in room 1 which was the height of comfort and space. Having breakfast on your own terrace was a real treat and made the start of your day relaxing. The breakfast was superb and freshly prepared and cooked every day. Thanks again Linda and Andy, you should both be very proud of yourselves for a truly unique experience, not at all like any other b&b.
