You’re checking this place out and thinking should I? Let’s put this out there, beautiful estate comfortable cottages great little pool and so quiet at night. Great wi-fi only minor is take an Amazon Fire Stick or other way of accessing smart TV. But when you arrive bottle of semi skimmed milk in the fridge, cleaning pack and dog friendly pack. 3 nearby pubs, one within walking distance. This place is not usually available due to weddings but it is very COVID safe and a convenient place to explore Torbay and South Devon. The staff are friendly and welcoming. You have been told! BOOK IT! Or forever regret it! We stayed in Doves Cottage and hated leaving !

Having been raised in Devon (but now living abroad), we decided that The Kingston Estate might be the perfect place for our 7yr old son to get together with his grandparents for his annual birthday trip to England. We really wanted him to appreciate the best of the English countryside, and leave him with memories to cherish. Well, we feel so lucky to have found this fairytale venue. The setting is simply beautiful, in acres of picture perfect countryside, and we will never forget our boy's excitement as he explored the grounds, his face lighting up as he discovered country wildlife and other treasures hidden in nooks and crannies around the estate. His grandfather delighted in walking with him each day, and teaching him all about the colourful trees, plants and birds which abound in the many gardens of this impressive property. Our cottage felt luxurious, and so thoughtfully equipped - everything was in just the right place. It is evident that the proprietor insists on top quality - from the furniture and appliances, to the soft bathrobes and relaxing hot tub. Even more impressive was the immaculate attention to detail delivered by the team, they were so pleasant and always available - our son couldn't believe his luck when he came back from his birthday adventure at Crealy, to find the Kingston crew had left beautifully wrapped gifts on his bed, a selection of treats from local suppliers! Our boy and his grandparents simply couldn't have had a better experience. We've already booked to go back next year and we hear him talk about it every day! Thank you Kingston, this was the best holiday he ever had!

We just spent a week in one of the holiday cottages on the beautiful Kingston Estate. The cottage was cosy, clean, very warm and very well-equipped. Our children had a fabulous time running around the grounds, playing on the trampoline and in the indoor pool. The atmosphere was wonderful - staff and other guests were all happy and friendly. One of the staff even took the time to give me a tour of the whole estate. The location is very peaceful, with amenities a short drive away in Dartington and Totnes. My only complaint was the incessant rain, but it is testament to the venue that we still had a fantastic time! Thank you, we can’t wait to come back!

Stayed here recently for long weekend for friends wedding. Arrived on a Friday early evening to a cold cottage. No heating and no logs for log burner. Tried calling reception but no answer. Found a member of staff wondering round who gave us a panel heater as didn’t want to reboot system in case other cottages lost heating as well. Next day not approached by staff to fix so asked at reception. Rude member of staff argued that heating was working until I pointed out they brought panel heaters and backed down. Later that afternoon told us heating was now fixed. Went back to cottage and still no heating. We gave up at this point as only one night left. No offer of reimbursement was made or apology. Staff were very disorganised all weekend in general and rude in some cases. Clearly need some customer service training. Not a good experience which is a shame as a very pretty location. Would never stay here again.

We are really sorry and upset to read this we were not aware of any of this. Which wedding were you at ? We do not have a reception on site so it would be good to know who you spoke to and when. You need to contact us directly and immediately so we can thoroughly investigate this matter and compensate you accordingly. We look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks Kingston Estate team.
