Overtown Manor is a beautiful rural bed and breakfast in striking distance of the M4 and Swindon but we are fortunate to have a secluded and peaceful setting. We are only 7 miles from Avebury and 10 miles from Marlborough. We provide accommodation and facilities for leisure and business travellers. Set in the unspoilt Wiltshire countryside, Overtown Manor is a Grade II listed house in its own garden and grounds. There is plenty of free off road private parking. We offer the highest standard of accommodation and the warmest of welcomes. We have four double ensuite bedrooms, two of the bedrooms can be twin rooms aswell.

The whole place makes you feel like you’ve arrived to stay at a much loved relatives family home. The main house is on a working farm and the manor is beautiful, old and rambling with lots of original features. Visiting for a business meeting, we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Lunch was taken at a huge farmhouse kitchen table and was all freshly cooked and locally sourced. Everything eaten across the two days was delicious. Colleagues who stayed also praised the comfortable and stylish rooms, tasty dinner and breakfast. Tucked away, this is indeed a gem and run with dedication, care and joy.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. My team and I work hard to try an ensure we meet everyone's expectations and provide the best possible service we can with the best possible produce and we are incredibly lucky to be surrounded by local producers/suppliers including our family farm. We have got lots of new ideas, including some outdoor meeting space for this summer in a beautiful old barn next to the house.

There are very few hotels in the world I re-visit, however this genuine gem of a place is one of the few.

Nancy and her team have created an exceptional space full of warmth, incredible food and good humour.

They take you in like you are one of the family, where nothing feels like it is too much trouble. They've given me lifts, wellies and advice all in one stay.

If they'd have me I'd move in permanently.

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to stay here for two nights bed and breakfast, with my husband, as my Mother's Day treat, and indeed what a treat it was!! This hotel is very special: comfortable, stylish and well furnished with the wonderful added bonus of a top rate cooked breakfast. The grounds and garden are quite lovely. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

The official post-Covid re-opening is Friday 1st April and I do hope I can find another special occasion/reason to be back there very soon.
Well done Nancy and Percy!

A group of us stayed here for a team meeting, we stayed over night and used one of the large rooms downstairs for presentations etc. Nancy and the team were excellent hosts and they prepared wonderful food for breakfast and lunch and made sure we never went without coffee and freshly baked goods! The bedrooms are lovely and spacious with a nice clean bathroom. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at Overtown manor. The rooms were decorated lovely, comfortable and of very good standard.
We were greeted by the host Nancy with tea and homemade cake in the drawing room next to a roaring fire. Amazing! We were made to feel at home straight away and Nancy couldn’t do enough for you. She was helpful from the initial booking but continued to be a perfect host throughout our stay.
Breakfast was incredible, local foods and plenty of choice. What a delight to have freshly homemade banana loaf to finish off a delicious English breakfast.
The walks from the manor were brilliant and idyllic.
Pubs/restaurants in walking distance and plenty to do in the area.
If you are looking for a relaxing country break this is the place for you!

Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to have you to stay. We had to shut for 2 years, move out and rent the Manor during Covid. We are now back home and open again and it is so lovely to be able to welcome guests here again.

I had the most wonderful 4 night stay at Overtown Manor. I was attending a course that was being run there.

From the moment I arrived I received a lovely warm welcome from Percy who made a lovely cup of tea and got me settled in! I knew then I had landed on my feet! Amazing comfortable rooms with all the amenities you could need!

The breakfast was delicious, home made granola and overnight oats were superb! Nancy's cooking was just out of this world, lunch was delicious every single day and the deserts and flapjacks/brownies that we got with our coffee breaks were just wonderful!

I would highly recommend a stay at Overtown Manor for couples, solo travellers or business!

Walking through the front door of this wonderfully grand & welcoming country house, a big inner ‘this is great!’ welled up in my body. As the venue for 12 of us on retreat in chilly March it really was perfect in every way. Warm, sumptuous rooms, idyllic countryside setting, fabulous food & exceptional service from Nancy & co made it all an utter delight & we’ll definitely be back for more!

This is a lovely place. Very comfortable. Everything you could possibly need in a peaceful setting. I took my sales team here for an away day. Beautiful rooms, cosy beds. The owners are very nice people and made us all feel so welcome and special. Not to mention the amazing breakfast and lunches we had.

This place was amazing! The pictures do not make it justice I think. I was there for a course and everything was beyond perfect. The whole manor is spotless and so cosy and welcoming, Nancy and family are so nice and Nancy’s cooking skills are from another world. We had breakfast and lunch there and everything was local/homemade and amazingly delicious!
I would go there again and again, for business trips, for couple trips, family stays and if I could even for lunch! :)
Cannot wait to be back in may!

Thank you for your message, I have got 3 super king double beds, a king double bed, the four poster is a standard double bed and a twin room. My new website is about to go live showing all the bed sizes for each bedroom. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Kind regards Nancy

The pool is an outdoor pool, I don't believe it's heater but it is covered when not in use. If it's warm out I would go for a refreshing swim. There is a shower and changing room within the square area of the pool. All looks clean. You won't have any problems here.
