My husband and I stayed here from 10th until 12th of October. Owner very friendly. Cottage is in secluded location so not overlooked by the neighbours. Cottage was well equipped with everything you need for a self-catering stay, very clean and everything in good working order. Only cons I can think of are the very noisy floorboards and the bed... Just back from a two night stay at the Black Grouse Log Cabin, and wished I could have stayed longer! On arrival, we were greeted by the owner Donald, who was very pleasant. Told us the essentials and provided us with contact details to get in touch if any issues. Left us to it to enjoy our break undisturbed. The... More

We booked a one bedroom Bearnock County Cottage as a short break after looking at the impressive website promising 5 star luxury accommodation. Some positives are it is indeed secluded and the location is good (after all, we chose the location). We also found the accommodation to be clean. Check in was friendly, although this was not by the owner... More

Beautiful pictures on the website of spacious modern cottages with quality furnishings, there are spectacular views too.. We had booked the Firs Cottage (for 6). Mr Maclean lost our original booking (we discovered this before we arrived - luckily or unluckily) and were allocated the Brocks and the Silver Birch instead. Mr Maclean then mixed up our arrival date (sigh).... More

We stayed here with a large group of friends for my husband's 30th. On arrival the house smelt slightly strange but we put it down to the heating being switched on for our arrival which may have been off over the winter period. However the house was quite dusty upon later inspection and especially the curtains in the dining room... More

My wife and I booked this as a little treat, to get away for a weekend break and just relax. The issues we had were small but nonetheless detracted from what could have been an excellent weekend rather than just good. First of all, upon arrival, we did not get the Lodge we had booked and confirmed, despite calling earlier... More

Stayed here for the second night of our highlands tour with our one year old baby / toddler. Great value. Modern and well kept cottage. Warm and cosy. Great for the baby, nothing he could break, no stairs to fall down! A little out of Drum, but an easy 5 minute drive.

Stayed at the firs cottage for four nights after booking it last minute. First of all everyone we dealt with was genuinely friendly and felt we got a great deal . The firs cottage is located up a steep hill although not far I feel it's worth pointing out . A very large home which would easily accommodate six (... More

The perfect location for a Highland getaway. The cottages were beautifully decorated and had everything you need. A great place to go walking and not too far from Drumnadrochit. We loved the views from our cottage (Red Deer) and will definitely be back.

A simply stunning and beautiful log cabin with amazing views. When we turned up we were at first concerned about the possible impact of being so close to the Hostel but we never had any cause for concern. Complete peace and tranquillity for our entire short break. The interior of the lodge was almost as impressive as the exterior. As... More
