Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room was big, nicely decorated and very clean, the bathroom was big and clean, with a nice tub to seat in.
We got a room at the second floor. Great view of the whole town, and this is the best spot in town to view the sunset.
Beware of the stairs. There is an elevator which cover some of the height, but still you will have to use some stairs.
Breakfast was very rich.
The staff were very kind and made an effort to answer our requests.
Overall an excellent hotel.

This place has a long way to go especially for being new. We booked on Agoda and when we showed up we were greeted with confused looks and a lot of scrambling. The rooms were decent and booked a room with a balcony which we were not given even though we were the only ones staying here. It wasn't worth even asking as the language barrier was rough. No instructions about wifi but that didn't matter since I have a local SIM chip. The rooms are new and are decently appointed. Hot shower, flatscreen TV and refrigerator. The breakfast was abysmal and certainly the worst of my 6 weeks in Myanmar. We ended up going out to eat. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to town as we only had one night in Kalaw and most of the higher rated hotels at the same price were further away. The outside of the hotel looks impressive but I would not return. There is a small pool here where the water was green and uncirculated. I counted 12 dead dragonflies on the surface. Surely, there are better values for your money in a small town that has over 50 hotels

Did a quick Trip Advisor search as I was headed into Kalaw, Myanmar and found this hotel. It is located near the downtown area and markets (walking distance) but located on a side street and up a hill. The views from the hotel are lovely and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Room was large so plenty of room for luggage and spreading out. Bathrooms were average but clean.

We spent one night in this hotel. Everything was great : the crew, the location, the room... and a very nice view of the city.

It was a really nice journey in Kalaw. We recommend this place to go with family, friends.

One negative point : the pool was a little bit cold for us .

The location is great - town centre but up on a hill so good views and peaceful. Nice small, clean swimming pool to cool off in at the end of the day. Hotel staff were very attentive- they just could not do enough for you! Rooms were huge and bathroom was ok. Breakfast was plentiful.

Didn't even get the chance to stay at this hotel. Why ? Because when we arrived, they told us that the hotel was fully booked. We didn't have our room ! Room that we booked months ago. We had to insist to get help for finding us a new hotel. Furthermore it was the New year's Eve so almost all the hotels in Kalaw were fully booked. We luckyly find, by ourselves, one room at the New heritage Hotel (which is, by the way, a very good hotel). We called Agoda to find out what happened. And it appeard that the problem wasn't from them: their automatised system took account our booking. There must be a human mistake from the hotel...

It's a new hotel and needs better management.
Rooms are spacious but no furniture or decorations, just empty space.
Staff are friendly but need proper training for customer service.
Food is ok, nothing special to mention but no complaints. There are a few restaurants in walking distance.
It's a bit of waste for such nice hotel lacking wow factor which makes you want to come back again.
Tip, try to get deluxe room on level 2, level 1 room views are blocked by dining room.
