Villa Masini-Luccetti is a 17th century country house that has been passed down from parent to child through the family. The villa is surrounded by a large well kept garden confined by olive groves with a beautiful view of Versilia and, in the distance, of the sea.The entire house including the five guest rooms is tastefully furnished with authentic items. The addition of modern bathrooms has not changed the genuine charm of this family house. Villa Masini-Luccetti is quiet and cool during hot summers and offers ample possibility to rest or to prepare for the next excursion or activity.

Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is a wonderful, serene place, where you can find yourself, come to rest and have a relaxing time. A journey to yourself. Elena and her neighbour Morena are wonderful Italian cooks. The villa is majestueus and authentic.

If you are interested in history, architecture and quiet, driving the hairpin turns up to Capriglia, above Pietrasanta, will be an easy choice. However, it is far more than a beautiful 17C summer villa, lovingly preserved. It is a rare gem graciously run by Elena, whose kindness and warmth turn her family villa into a home, which she clearly loves to share with her guests. We were put at ease immediately. An informal table outside the main door was the stage for breakfast, discussions, and relaxation. And we laughed and talked as if we were returning guests. The villa has had alterations and changes over the centuries, but one can just imagine what it must have been like when it was built, alone atop this mountain. Both elegant and quirky, there are antiques, old doors and state-of-the-art bathroom fixtures just as classy as the well-appointed kitchen of yesteryear. It’s a home still filled with stories and memories. Relaxing in style, true style, is alive here - if even for a few nights. We’d love to repeat our experience.

What a wonderful place this is. I spent a week here this summer for some much-needed R&R. Well, I got it in spades. The house and surrounding gardens were so beautiful, relaxing and quiet, I couldn't tear myself away, despite the region's many attractions. The house has real character; stepping over the threshold is like taking a step back in time, with lovely nooks and antique-filled niches exuding the air of an old master. (How I wish that I could paint!). The hostess Elena is very kind and helpful. In short, this place is good for the soul. I came back happy and energised and am already dreaming of my return.

This B&B is one of a kind! I cannot recommend it enough! When I arrived in Pietrasanta, Elena, the hostess greeted me in the square where she was kind enough to pick me up and bring me to the house. Upon arrival, I was stunned by the breath-taking view (particularly from my bedroom window) but more so, by the absolute beauty of the house; every detail still in tact and well looked after from when the house was in use a couple of hundred years ago. The house felt friendly and I felt right at home. Furthermore, I cannot thank Elena enough for the ceaseless effort she put into cleaning the bathrooms and airing out linen on a daily basis (totally unnecessary but much appreciated), as well as being kind enough to accommodate for my gluten free diet. I would stay here again without hesitation. The place is heaven on a hill.

In fact, I stayed there only one night last august ( 2010) but I will always remember it. It was my first night in Italy and it made a lasting impression. I was delayed earlier in Genoa and arrived 3 hours later than I was supposed too. The people around were very nice to help me found the place ( a bit hard at night). But upon my arrival, Elena was there, waiting for me with warm tea and home made croissant and jam. We talk a lot before she made me visit her house. The place was beautiful, very well decorated, quiet and so clean. The room was very cosy and comfortable. In the morning, I woke up with a beautiful view of Pietrasanta and the Mediterranean sea from my room. The breakfast was full of homemade stuff and fresh fruits. Delicious! She even helped me do reservations for differents visits in the next few days and gave me good tips and advice. Finally, I was able to purchase some of her olive oil that they produce....Miam, Miam.... Thank you Elena.
