I fell in love with this 19th century house the first time I saw it. The ancient courtyard with an old laundry, a kitchen with a large fireplace and an original sink in marble and an incredible view over the village, the hills and the sea beyond. I restored it with love keeping intact the original features and the classic architectural style of this area: the decorated floors, the windows frames in chestnut wood, the ceiling in timber and terracotta bricks mixed with my personal style and the works of friends artists. The result is a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for the guests' enjoyment. There are three bright and comfortable bedrooms, with different colours, antique furniture and beautiful views of the garden and the village; each of which has an en-suit bathroom, a wardrobe, kettle and an air-dryer, independent heating, a fan and free wifi connection. In the lounge with fire place guests can relax reading a book from the small library, listen to music or watch a movie. The “ colanzi” the tasteful and delicious breakfasts offer a big range of homemade jam, biscuits and cake as well as Tuscan products like bread and focaccia and it is served in the charming kitchen around the big marble table, shared by all the guests together as a family. Recently I made the choice vegan food to which I was approaching through the gradual and natural rejection of the consumption of meat and fish. I opened up a world that I'm eagerly experimenting and tasting, and who enthusiastically present and share with my guests. There is a lovely courtyard in front of the house with an old laundry and a terrazzato garden where guests can relax under the pergola of roses, kiwi ad passion flower, enjoy the sun using the sun beds or benefit from the quiet of the chestnut wood while swinging on the hammocks. The views from the house and the garden are fantastic: in front of you there are hills covered in woods and olive trees, the lovely village of Capezzano Monte where you have the beautiful vistas of the sea and the coast from Livorno to Portovenere, the islands of Gorgona, Capraia and Elba and even as far as Corsica. The beautiful and historic town of Pietrasanta is ten minutes away. Pietrasanta is a very lively and you can find art shows, antique and hand craft markets, concerts and other cultural events that are organised all the year around. The beach is very close too and if you love trekking many paths take you around the hills following the old donkey tracks surrounded by nature. Le Stipedisopra is the perfect place to forget about time, get back in touch with nature and slow pace of typical life of Italy once.
