The resort is nicely designed with beautiful gardens. It is overall well maintained with some minor issues (e.g. broken shower head holder in bathroom, some minigolf lanes degraded to the point of no longer being usable).
The hotel contains a newer, adult-only "junior Suites" area. While not clearly stated, this area is operated independently and the facilities, including the second all-inclusive restaurant, are not open for "hotel & bungalow" customers.

Rooms and housekeeping
The rooms and facilities are clean. Housekeeping is reduced to every other day as a Covid measure.
Half the time the housekeeping did not exchange the right number of beach towels for our party of 4, but this could be quickly corrected after interaction with the staff.
We stayed in a first floor bungalow with a nice view into the peaceful and quiet garden. Our room was of the type with a roof over the balcony, which was good, because the type without would very likely have been too hot in the sun.
The safe in the room is only available for an extra charge. The charge is not large, but considering the overall cost and service level of the hotel, this charge is a bit petty.

Pool, beach:
There are a large number of beach chairs and umbrellas at pool and beach, creating sufficient shadow. All beach chairs were occupied every day between around 8:30 and 17:00 during our stay, with the pool opening 10:00-18:00.
The beach can get windy with blowing sand in the afternoon.
The chairs at pool and beach were pretty closely packed despite the Covid measures.

Food
Food was good, offering a wide variety for every meal. The desserts were especially good.
The restaurant was coping very well with the Covid measures. The food distribution in small plates or served by staff worked without waiting times. The restaurant has a functional ambiance. The staff is very friendly and helpful and provides fast and attentive service.
There is free seating and during our usage times there were always enough tables in sun and shadow.
The dress code was not enforced during our stay, presumably due to the heat.

Activities
Water sports courses (wind surfing, kitesurfing) were so much in demand that there was no free slot during our 10 day vacation in July. Book early!

Other comments
The front desk staff quickly fixed any issues we raised, like adding two balcony chairs for 4 person room occupancy and providing the missing beach towels.

Overall we had a very relaxing vacation and would consider returning to Caravia Beach!

Me and my partner arrived here on the 3rd September for 4 nights and it was not long enough! Upon arrival the staff took our suitcases for us and guided us to our room . The room was absolutely spotless could not fault it , we had fresh towels daily and fresh bedding changed every single day we even had beach towels given to us FREE of charge so no need to bring your own.
The pool is amazing it’s so big and really quiet especially for September time as there we’re alot of families and there were other pools for children and water slides.
There is an adult only area also where they do suites and adult only resteraunt with swim up pools which are fabulous.
Food was outstanding loads of choice of desserts and selection of food
There are a few local shops such as supermarkets and gift shops local also including activities such as horse riding and you can rent quad bikes from the hotel at roughly €50 for the day.
We are a young couple aged 25 and there was plenty of relaxed places away from children if that’s what your looking for but does cater for families too!
We cannot wait to return again next year

We have just returned from a family all inclusive holiday and the place was simply beautiful. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens which is very picturesque. Many pools to choice from, our girls were in them constantly. Hotel right on the beach which is private to stayers which was brilliant, the beach bar was incredible, maybe better than the actual restaurant. Ice creams, slush’s, beer, wine, n lovely little snacks all included and just made things so much easier. The food in the hotel was decent enough. Took a little getting use to and our kids mainly ate standard English stuff, but the hotel tried to mix it up as much as they could and there was always a decent choice. We stayed in a bungalow which was lovely, spacious, lovely garden balcony views, cleaned every single day which was so nice to come back to. Our cleaning lady was lovely, did not speak a word of English but such a lovely helpful lady. All the staff at the hotel were polite, nothing seemed to much trouble, only slight fault I would say is the entertainment at night is in the theatre and it’s mainly run by young lads who are abit much sonetines. We didn’t spend much time here but the set up is good and kids seemed to love it. Location is lovely and quite, not much around. We did horse riding at Erikas farm which was a beach ride, ours girls loved it, really beautiful. We also took a short taxi ride to the local water park which was brilliant. Hotel 15 minutes away from airport, absolutely ideal after travelling all those hours. We arrived early hours in the morning with 2 children and were greeted and led to our room, they even put snacks and waters in our room fridge because we had a long journey which I thought was a lovely lovely touch. Overall it was just a brilliant place, best of both worlds in being peaceful yet having enough to entertain the kids. Not a lot going on in the day time but again with all the pools, kids entertained themselves. Can get windy, on the beach especially, but we welcomed this most days as it took the heat off you. Water beautiful and clear, and we went in the sea many times. Overall a fantastic holiday, i spent a lot of time reading reviews when I booked, trust me, you will not be disappointed, we certainly weren’t. Fantastic hotel, a fantastic beautiful holiday, highly recommend

Me and my partner just returned home from this hotel and it was so lovely! The staff were accommodating and friendly and you could always go to the reception if you needed anything at all! Entertainment staff were really great with kids. The grounds were well maintained and the rooms were very spacious and clean. You don’t need to bring beach towels as these are supplied free of charge! The food was great, however there didn’t seem to be much of a variety between lunch and dinner and both seemed to be the same. Plenty of sunbeds and there is also a private beach with lots of sunbeds too! One thing I did find quite strange was that you could not get cocktails by the pool. This wasn’t really too much of an issue but just thought it was quite strange! There is a little shop onsite with all the essentials, and a large supermarket about a 10-15 min walk from the hotel. We went into Kos town on the bus one day and it was fab! All in all we would return, thanks so much!

Lovely hotel, rooms spacious and clean, great shower. Food absolutely excellent, the best all inclusive I have ever been to. Beautiful beach and warm, clear water. It can get quite windy with big waves. We loved it and my 8 year old granddaughter had so much fun but she is a great swimmer.
The hotel could be improved by some nightly music around the pool, there was 1 night of Greek dancing and 1 night a singer in the bar, the animation and entertainment in the theatre was definitely for children only, we only went once. The main bar had queues every night and only one bartender, we waited 15 minutes one night to be served.
My husband was very disappointed that although the hotel had been informed we were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary there was no acknowledgement by them at all. We went to a restaurant recommended by one of the receptionist. We ordered 2 taxis and 1 was 1/2hr late, no apologies from the hotel or taxi driver. We arrived at the restaurant, having booked 4 days previously and the table was not ready, again no acknowledgement of our anniversary. The food was good, the view spectacular but the service did spoil our night.
For the location, food and facilities it was great but there needs to be a few improvements to want to make me visit again

Me and my partner decided to visit for first time the island of Kos and we were recommended staying in this lovely hotel.
We booked a Junior suite at the adults only part of the hotel. I'm very happy to say that our stay exceeded our expectations by far!!
First of all, the room was absolutely stunning. The design, the space, the decor, the cleanliness, the amenities, they were all a 5 star experience without a single fault. The swimming pool has been a fantastic place to relax throughout our stay. Our booking included our meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and we were truly surprised with the large variety and the outstanding quality of the food.
The hotel offers a private beach which we have to admit felt like a tropical paradise.
The wellbeing center, Anassa, was simply a heaven of luxury and ultimate relaxation.
In general, the facilities were simply amazing and made us think that we could easily spend a whole summer there without a single second of boredom.
The hospitality, service and support from every single member of staff has beem exceptional. A special shout to Coralia, Nasia, Iosif and Mr Yannis Valinakis who made our stay truly memorable.
I tend not to visit the same greek island for holidays but this hotel made me reconsider. I'm sure that I will be staying again and again.
Thank you for making us feel so special!! During this holiday, we fell even more in love with each other. It has been the best experience.
See you again soon!!

This is our second visit to the Caravia Hotel staying in the junior suites. From the moment of arrival, this place feels special. Check in is quick and professional. You and your cases then go by a cute electric buggy to your room. We booked a swim up pool which is such luxury. The pool is amazing and so nice to do lengths in or just float around on a lilo in. The rooms are spacious and trendy. The beds are sooo comfortable. We had all our meals in the restaurant next to the junior suites. The grounds are kept spotless and are beautiful. But what shines at this hotel are the employees. Each and every of them provide such great service. They are all so friendly and give the time to ask you about your day. We have never had to wait for anything in the restaurant or bar as they have such great planning and are so proactive. They do show cooking in the restaurant and the chef is amazing at adapting meals just for you. He is so respectful and a brilliant chef. The hotel has a spa on site and I have had a couple of treatments with Beatrice. She was able to adapt my massage and included reflexology which was brilliant. It is a short walk to the beach where there is a bar serving snacks included in the all inclusive. We are here for 2 weeks and have 6 days still to enjoy. We can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you to the amazing smiley staff for making our holiday so relaxing and happy x

I would say that the experience is somewhere between very good and excellent. The service at the reception wonderful, at the restaurant- astonishing- the waitresses were doing their job in an excellent manner and the help of the evening sous chef was just great. The food itself tasted really delicious. I didn't take advantage of any of the pools, so I can't say whether they were good or not. The beach, however was clean, the water clear and beautiful. There were enough deckchairs so you could always find one for yourself. And the garden!!! Just beautiful!!!
What wasn't so great was the animation team in the amphitheatre. The animations were of a very poor quality, as if the animators were having fun of the guests and disrespected their intelligence.
It was a great mother-daughter stay. Not to be forgotten. :)

I used the spa area at the Caravia Beach Hotel and Bungalows three times. One facial and two massages were performed. It was absolutely fantastic and professional. The spa manager, Katerina, was always willing to accommodate special requests for appointments. We had interesting conversations in the short waiting times for the treatments and after the treatments, where I learned quite a bit about life on Kos during the pandemic. All three treatments were performed by the spa therapist Eleni, who has magic hands. I felt very well taken care of and absolutely relaxed. Many thanks to Katerina and Eleni.

The ground floor ones with direct access looked nice but I had a first floor room and we had a pretty big balcony and used the loungers in the pool area that jutted out in the middle which was perfect for us. There was always plenty of loungers free. We didn’t use the pool as much as we thought we would as we favoured the beach as it was so nice and the water was pretty calm most of our stay.
