It's family oriented hotel with very cool animation program purely oriented to UK kids. You can't sign up for their programs regardless you language skills unless you're a citizen of UK so much to say about equity. But still you and your kids may take part in some activities here and there which we did but the UK domination is way too challenging. No early check-in available as already mentioned in previous feedbacks. We've had family room on ground floor which wasn't too big but well equipped. Several issues which we faced during our stay were rectified upon request, some required repetitive claims though. Nevertheless the stuff is very friendly and always ready to help. All Inclusive is very much ok never leaving you starving. Supplies are always refilled in time even if you have to queue for some of delicious meals. The variety of cuisine from Asian to Greek will most definitely please you! Free water is also available in the room. Bars open in the evening hours were also cool. Most of Brits seemed to be happy with pools (why coming this long way?) and hotel's beach was never too full. Stuff is always ready to get you an extra sunbed in case of need. Sandy beach is beautiful, but often windy and your body may get a sand peeling for free! )) Sea is usually very transparent with no jellyfishes to bother you. Beach bar is also 3 steps away. Marmari village is walkable and eve/night landscapes are there to please your eyes! Discos and other entertainment are never too late to distract you from sleeping in the night. All in all very positive vacation to recommend to a friend but not to come back for one simple reason - Kos is way too small and we have seen it all!

Myself , daughter & granddaughter spent 11 nights here and have to say I don’t really have any complaints .

Room was a large double with king size bed and two singles , love.y double basins , shower and toilet , all very clean , with views that looked out to the pool. We hardly used the front door , we came out of sliding patio and left them open , that’s how safe we felt .
Food .. we never had any problems finding something to temp us , sushi night was my favourite, and pizza night . My only complaint is the lack of children’s plates , bowls and cutlery , the brand baby did a couple of Greek plate smashes which was annoying , and cannot understand why child s plates weren’t available as they were by the snack bar . Shout out to the lovely Edna who looked after us our whole Hoilday , was always so polite , helpful and very good at her job .. Thank you for looking after us and sorry for the constant mess baby made lol.
There was hardly any entertainment , but that was ok with us , we were back in our room most nights by 9 . The joys of travelling with an18month old .

Tui staff were always on hand , always took the time to speak , and due to the lack of guests let the little ones in to trash the play days , came home with a few love.y pictures.

Pools were clean

Grounds were kept clean and tidy , with sun loungers and pathways washed down several times we were there.

Cleaned rooms every other day , fresh towels and bottled water , they always made sure we had several bottles for babies formula .

Safe in room

Aircon free was good

Pool towels €10 euro deposit refunded at the end of our Hoilday

Local tax €3 euros per night payable on departure .

Drinks ok , didn’t really drink much alcohol but what I did drink was ok.

Went into town was a nice day out . Make sure you look at timetable for times

Beach just outside ,wasn’t able to swim as sea was rough and current was strong . But lovely playing sand castles in the white sands

It was very quiet we went 5th September , but again that didn’t bother us , it was just nice to get away .

I wouldn’t go back only because we don’t go back to the same place twice . We had a lovely Hoilday , and made some new friends .

testing wasn’t a problem .either .

We visited holiday village Atlantica kos in August 2021 for a family holiday and all I can say is our stay was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious (especially all the meat which was beautiful) and the Greek and American restaurants where you get free visits too were amazing. The location of the hotel is beautiful with the beach just on the doorstep and the views of the sunset in the evening were gorgeous. The only negative thing I would say about the location is that there isn’t really anything around outside the hotel but it’s only a short bus ride into kos town and there is a hotel shop where the owner is very friendly. The staff were also great and did everything to make your stay perfect. For example, one night we went to reception to ask if some water to be delivered to our room. With it being after 11 we weren’t expecting anything till the next day but within a couple of minutes water was delivered.

The only thing I would say though is if you’re thinking about getting a duplex room it’s not really worth it. There is only a little bit of extra room and I kind of felt like the room wasn’t completely finished. There was also no shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom which meant the shower couldn’t be used as the whole bathroom would be flooded which is a big slip hazard, The main reason we had a duplex room was the second bathroom so we could speed up getting ready in the evening. But in the grand scheme of things the disappointing room didn’t really matter as the rest of the hotel was fantastic.

After reading some of the July reviews prior to travelling I was a little worried. Thankfully any of the issues that the hotel had when it re-opened in July had been rectified by the time we arrived.

We had three family rooms with the partition (not to be confused with the sliding door rooms) they are towards the back of the hotel.

On arrivals you have a stay safe pack with face mask, hand sanitizer etc, bottles water along with tea and coffee.

The pools are lovely and clean, we saw them clean them daily and are tested through the day.

The restaurants, Ambrosia is the main restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner serving a wide selection international dishes. Each night has a different theme, from Greek, Italian, through to Mexican and Asian. There was always plenty of choice and everyone was able to have a good meal. Anyone that moans about the food needs to have a word with themselves and also remember that the hotel did tell you to put pizza with a burrito and salad topped with pasta and some fish with a side helping of chips - this was your choice no one else’s!

The lunch was good in the American snack bar, you could your own toasted sandwich, grab a fresh Greek salad and make up a nice Greek plate with freshly grilled meat, pitta bread and a good side helping of tzatziki! This was also where you could grab a beer or a soft drink, top tip bring your own cups and refill them as the paper ones are a bit flimsy.

We booked an A’la Carte one evening and it was a nice change to be waited on. The menu is simple and accessed via QR code. Well worth a booking.

Drinks are average and typical of all inclusive but you can always head up to the disk bar and pay for branded at night for a change.

The First Choice team don’t stop! They are constantly on the go. From swim academy & football academy to the entertainers who are either keeping you busy around the pool or putting on a show at night - they are a fantastic team. The App both the FC and the holiday village one are an absolute must! All activities are booked via the app and it’s really easy to use. We were kept informed and updated with everything via the first choice app again a must for everyone.

Definitely worth remembering that these hotels are operating on incredibly difficult circumstances and yet the staff are always smiling, and helpful. Try to be kind to them!

My daughter, son in law and 2 granddaughters aged 12 and 9 went for 2 weeks, we surprised them on the second week . We had the best holiday, the children enjoyed all the activities they did and were never bored. Lovely safe place for children to have a little freedom. Holiday reps were great and always smiling. Food was lovely plenty of choice, you can book a night in greek restaurant and the American restaurant, both were excellent and well worth a visit.
You can hire towels for 10 euros refunded when you leave and you can change them every other day.
Yes getting beds around the pool was difficult if you dont want to reserve them and sit there from 6.30am. The staff did try to remove towels at 9am if the beds werent occupied but they were met with hostile comments from some holiday makers😡.
My daughter left her handbag in the bar one night and was very distressed in the morning when she realised. She went to reception reported it and as we were going to the water park for the day they said leave it with us, on our return they had it so big thank you to whoever handed it in and the staff for their actions.
I was worried that this would not be the holiday for us but having had a week there wished we had booked for 2 weeks.
Having read other comments and speaking with my daughter it would appear that other negative comments were due to re opening after covid and training and setting up services. I certainly think they managed that very well.
Well done and thank you

Had a great 2 week trip in September and was pleasantly surprised after reading the Summer reviews before we left. We travelled as a couple with a 3 year old and my parents.
Transfer
Literally 15 minutes – the advantage of small islands!
Check in
Arrived at around 1pm and had to wait until 2:30 for the room, no bother, spot of lunch and all good.
Location
Not much around the hotel, we are more than happy on site, hence booking a HV, my folks like a walk and an explore so didn’t have many places to see. Beach is ok, long and straight, bit choppy and quite a shelf, so not ideal for toddlers but ideal if you like a few miles walk. I walked to Marmari every other morning, about 15 minutes bare footed on the road, 20 mins by beach. A few restaurants, supermarkets and car hire places.
Food
Not bad. Buffet got a bit tedious, breakfast was good, lunch was sometimes a struggle, but can survive on Salad, chips and some sort of meat. The Greek and American was worth booking and made a nice change from the buffet setting. Some nights were better than others but by the end of 2 weeks I was started to dream of quality food.
Drinks
Beer was ok, I drank plenty of it, Wine was like paint stripper. Spirits were ok, but kids juice was incredibly sweet. Popped to the supermarket for a few bottles of fizzy to mix it up for the other half. 25 euro on site, normal price in Marmari.
Sunbeds
It was amazingly quiet, never had to reserve a sunbed, could sit wherever you chose. All 4 pools were often quiet, each one having a suitable toddler pool. This made the holiday, probably would have had a different experience in the Summer holidays, but no queues for drinks, no issues with sunbeds and a relatively quiet buffet made it all the better.
Entertainment
Lots going on and if you want to get rid of the kids for a few hours the staff are great and really look after them. Unfortunately our little one wanted to spend all her time in the pool with her Daddy! Evening kids entertainment was a bit dodgy – was aimed at older kids, although there was a lack of school aged children (missed enough school last year I suspect).
Room
Was cleaned every other day – although bedding wasn’t changed and water wasn’t always provided. Had a partition room which was great for the little one, although the bathroom design was a little bit cramped (Room 618)
Reps
Adam and Frankie really nice guys. Always stopped for a chat, genuinely interested in what’s going on, even if you didn’t get involved in the activities. Always available if needed. Really wanted to take the little one to football academy but she struggles to wake up before 9.30 

So many mixed reviews for this hotel so thought we would add our two pence worth.

We’ve just got back from 7 days, we are a family for four - 2 boys (aged 7 and 2). Ideal location and only 20 min from the airport. No one is claiming this hotel is 5* and in many parts it’s what you make of it.
We had a wonderful time, the splash park was ideal for our boys and was situated just outside our room. The swim academy is absolutely fantastic and the greatest money we’ve ever spent on holiday. Our 7 year old was terrified of getting his head wet and in just 4 x 30 min sessions Ellie and Michelle had transformed him into a confident little water baby. They need massive recognition for the great work they do and a big thank you from us.

Food and drink is fine and lots of choice. The staff work hard to make sure everything is always topped up and the tables cleaned instantly. Yes the restaurant can get busy, but that is if you tend to arrive at peak times later on. Due to having two small children, we would go early at the evening meal and the place would always be quiet initially and we would be leaving by the time queues were starting. It is of course not fine dining! It’s a family hotel trying to cater to a wide range of ages!

Yes sunbeds can be an issue. However, this is a family resort with children that get up super early.. so people can be at the pool super early. If you are turning up to the pool around 11am expecting all sun beds to be free then that’s never going to be the case. They do have signs around the pool saying ‘unattended towels will be removed’ and we did see hotel staff moving towels that had been trying to hold beds for a long time. This was good to see and it became understood that if you’re trying to do that you may come back to no sunbeds.

Yes there are areas that could do with updating, but like we said it’s what you make of it !

My partner and I stayed here in June with our 3 year old son and after reading some of the reviews I was slightly apprehensive. However, we had a truly fantastic time and within a day of returning we have booked to stay at the same place next year which we would never usually do.
Our room was always kept extremely clean and tidy and we had 2 large bottles of water left in our room each day. Kids club was great and lots of different activities for our son to do. Entertainment was good for our son and although we didn’t take part in any of the poolside activities as our soon was more than happy just playing in the pool we saw that there were always different things you could take part in including paddle boarding, kayaking, inflatable obstacle course and more.
Beach was really close and kept very clean and tidy.
Food was fresh and plentiful and I am a vegetarian but always found plenty of choice that I could eat. Our son has a sesame allergy but we just kept an eye out on what we gave him and didn’t give him anything if we were unsure.
Ice cream and slushies available all day and if the slushies at one bar weren’t working then we would just go to one of the other bars and get one there instead.
We went on the bus to Kos town one day which was good and also went on a trip to Zia to watch the sunset which was beautiful. The TUI rep booked us a table at a couple of restaurants in Zia so that we could decide which one we wanted to eat at when we got there which was a nice touch.
All staff we spoke to or saw were helpful and polite.
All in all we had a fantastic time and can’t wait to return next year.

Having stayed here before we knew what to expect. I have to say that the soft drinks have improved (they have been undrinkable before). Didn’t drink the alcohol as we have tried that before so we bought our own, not ideal on an AI holiday! Fizzy, Cava or Prosecco is only available to buy so we go to the local supermarket and stock up.
The lady working in the beach bar was lovely and I wish I’d taken her name so she could have a mention. She was there every day except Tuesday.
This is our choice.
The rooms are lovely with a good size balcony.
2 of us have long hair and I have to say the room was not regularly swept as there was hair on the floor where we had brushed it.
Towels were changed when left on the floor.
On arrival there is a bottle of red wine (yuck) and 2 wine glasses, a selection of tea / coffee with paper cups - no milk. This is not replenished but teabags are available at the bar and restaurant but you will need milk and also need to get some extra cups.
Water is supplied in large bottles but there are only wine glasses in the room.
Pools are great but a little chilly at the end of Sept. The main pool has loud music playing but there is also music coming from the pool bar and the far end of the pool and they are all playing different music.
The family entertainment around the pool happens at lunchtime so we missed this as we wanted to eat.
The food is excellent and I’m a fussy eater but there was always something to eat.
The beach is beautiful and very relaxing. The water is so clear and such fine sand. It was lovely to lay listening to the water so we spent quite a bit of time there.
The entertainment is very hit and miss (more miss than hit) and there wasn’t anything on our last night.
We hired bicycles through the rental by the restaurant, they picked us and we had the bikes all day for €7 each.
There’s not much in Marmari itself so we rode to Tikagi which is a bit bigger but not too far away.
Maria on reception was helpful with some issues that we had during our stay.
The biggest disappointment was the cost of keeping a room on. Check out is 11am and we went being collected until 9.30pm. The hotel doesn’t have a secure room for bags when checked out so we had to pay €2 each for lockers, we needed three, one of which had the hand luggage with a change of clothes as we spent the day on the beach. We also paid €5 each to shower in the Spa, not the best of showers, 1 was broken and no privacy when dressing. The we had a pay a further €2 to put the hand luggage back into a locker (as you don’t get it back and they are a one use lock) while we went for something to eat before the coach arrived.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE sort out the charges for keeping a room on as what you currently charge is unacceptable on top of the charge for tithe holiday and people need to shower and change before leaving when on a late flight.
Despite this, we had a very relaxing week and love the location.

Must be the worst HV I have ever been too, we paid over 8k for a family of 4 for 2 weeks, the food and drink is dire, nothing for kids over the age of 11 to do, sun beds get reserved between 6-7am and left unattended until about 10-11am sometimes until afternoon and the hotel do nothing about it, as I said the food is awful unless you like fish fingers and chips, pizza or pasta every lunch, dinner and later night snack for the whole 2 weeks.

The drinks I tried aren’t even drinkable and served in paper cups from the 1 bar they have open during the day. They couldn’t even get the mixture of the soft drinks right for the kids. The reps from TUI do nothing expect just sit at a table and just sell day trips which are at least half price in Marmari town, when you ask the reps anything they say it is on the app, all other HV’s I’ve been too the reps have been involved in activities, walking around chatting with guests and seeing if everything is ok, I think they hide away because they know everything isn’t ok, all of the activities which you don’t have to pay extra for are rubbish and done on the quiet, no announcements about them taking place so hardly anyone goes, again I would presume this is another tactic so they don’t have to do anything and the entertainment of an evening is a joke..

The rooms are very basic, we had a family room with sliding doors, when you switched the air con on it poured water out in which they were unable to fix during our whole stay, on check out you have to dump your cases outside the reception for the day as they don’t provide a luggage room and you can’t leave them in doors, whilst they are outside in the sun, some chubby guy moves them about all day? They don’t even offer you any shower facilities to freshen up before leaving (we were leaving at 8:30pm and checked out at 11am) told to use the shower by the pool! The customs relations manager Evie is an absolute disgrace and should be removed from front of house, she has no skills to deal with customers and is very nasty and abrupt in her approach to everyone.

The additional paid activities Football academy and swim academy were great and the instructors were spot on, sadly the stage academy was dire, the staff running it didn’t have a clue and had no imagination, this is such a shame as HV used to be great
